Johnson scoring points tonight is the worst thing that could've happened for this season.
Yeah he has 10 points on 12 shots in over 30 minutes. That's horrible for anyone but him. Cronin doesn't look at stats anyway though so its not like he had any real shot of losing minutes. Makes me less excited about the season knowing the bad SR trend will continue.

Yea, cause cronin won't see his percentage or dumb mistakes... Just that he played hard and scored a few.
To be fair he could be 0 for 20 and he would still start and play a ton of minutes

That was pretty gross. I don't like knowing that we have these kinds of games in us. We wouldn't have beaten anyone good tonight.

Did a great job of going straight up to contest shots. Nice putback dunk, nice and 1 (even though he brought the ball down to his waist), decent enough touch on FT. He's so long.

calm down if u didnt notice he completely shut down the players he was defending got a ton deflections and was in middle multiple turnovers that led to fast break points. sometimes as fans i think we worry too much about offense and dont realize everything else hes doing. those who say his defense is not good enough to defend keeping him out there i wonder what the hell they are watching. theres a reason we were able to completely shut down the other teams best guard last year in multiple games and the reason was kevin johnson.
i think people need to calm down when it comes to KJ including myself its almost ridiculous at this point. i just wonder what people are watching that they cant see the guy is an elite defender that helps our team in so many ways. they only see the missed three or maybe lazy pass every now and then.
its almost like us uc fans me included have to have a player we blame everything on and get mad if he plays so that the young guy who cant guard a lick that has a better jumper can play more.

I think this is a game that last years team would have lost after giving up a 31-4 run.
Completely agree. Obviously letting that happen is absolutely terrible and never should happen, but coming back from a run lack that shows some toughness ( know how we all love that word lol.) but really it did, we stopped the run (eventually), but stopped it non the less and then made some big adjustments going into and especially coming out of half. Players picked I up and took home a 15 point win. Was a horribly ugly game for us and we still almost managed to cover, I'll take that. And experience, this is experience for a team that needs it in these kind of situations. Nothing wrong with some struggles early in the year as long as you can capatalize on them and use them to at better.

All sound pretty nice, if he can get some effective minutes in happy with that, if he can score like he did tonight when fouls are a factor even better.

That Samford run was awful for the whole team, they played with no energy on D and the O suffered with bad 3s.
JJ and Cumberland havent exactly impressed and its obvious Mick doesnt trust them. I believe they were in when their run started.
