Say what you want about the Nebraska game but we played lights out defense, we played great on Defense. We outplayed them but killed ourselves at the free throw line in our first true road test, we all said there will be growing pains that was a growing pain at the end of the game we are practically playing with no seniors (Our best player and go to guy is a sophomore), we need to learn how to win games like that and im confident we will. This team will continue to grow, and will be a good team. Mick is a great coach and i cant wait for wednsday and beloieve we will battle tough again and pull out this win vs a top 25 team. It will be crucial to hit a couple early threes or deep jump shots to extend the defense. And relax on kj hes lacking confidence, but will soon find his stroke increasing his confidence and then he will begin to attack more. Would love to start Wednesday night with a kj three

As long as it comes with 10 or less seconds on shot clock and afterwards he doesn't turn into Kobe and start chucking shots up every time he touches the ball.

I don't know why because everything is telling me they will lose, but I'm picking UC in this game. I think this is going to be one of those games we all have talked about where this young team beats somebody they shouldn't. Even though UC lost and looked bad doing it to Nebraska, I saw something in them I hadn't seen in them this season. They stuck together and played hard through a lot of frustrating things and missed opportunities. They haven't gotten a good win yet but I think they are quietly growing.

I hope KJ takes 15 shots tomorrow.

He only had double digit attempts once last year against Chicago State going 2-10.

The most attempts he has this year are 7 (1-7) against Nebraska and 6 (1-6)against Ole Miss. Both losses

In 8 games UC is averaging 46 FG attempts per game. That would mean KJ shooting 1/3 of time.

KJ is not a drive to the basket type of player like he was in high school anymore. He played behind sk last year and saw sk shoot 3's all game and with everyone wanting him to become sk he is becoming a 3pt shooter which he is not and never will be. If I was him I would get back to the basics or ride the bench because 4 ppg from your starting sg and future sk ain't cutting it!

I agree, I saw kj play in HS many times he was a great driver really good at slashing, but so far this season he just sits behind the arc and want to shoot the three. yes he wants to be the next sk but sk got to the hoop and slashed a lot as well, he did a bit of everything. Dont get me wrong i do think kj has good jump shot but his speciality is driving and a couple nice drives and his confidence will rise and he will begin sinking his jumop shots like we know he can. I look back to the film in the bahamas he led the team in scoring with like 16 or 17 points he shot the ball confidently and drove the ball confidently thats the kj we need. This team needs kj to step up and take pressure off troy, im expecting kevin to have a very good game (10+pts) with a couple threes and some nice aggresive drives. If in any game kevin gives us 10+ pts or any other guard besides troy i like our chances against anyone on our sceadule

Agree, I hope your right.

Guess nobody cares about college basketball unless they live in the middle of nowhere like Nebraska.

Line has moved to a pick 'em. Can't find an O/U but I would guess it would be around 100...LOL!

Its a no brainer to me. SDSU all day. Our inexperience against their experience and talent is too much for UC. We will be lucky to get 40 points. I think we will struggle mightly to get any points in the paint. We will have to rely on our jump shots...

I'm pretty sure it did. It was at the shoe, I believe him and Yancy decided to alter the play and Vaughn ran deep, Bishop through the ball out of bounds and the other team scored on the following possession which caused UC to lose. It's a bit blurry so the details may be slightly off.

Bishop may have done something similar at the Shoe but the story above was on the road against St. Johns I believe. I think the Cats turned it over 3 times in the last minute of the game, the worst of which was Bishop's attempted "home run" throw to Vaughn. Gifted St. Johns a game they had no business winning.

What is the Dixon moment so many are referring to?

As for tonight, going to be ugly but I think the Cats can get the win. I hope the home crowd does their share.

And they average 74 ppg. Does offense leads to greater attendance as some have claimed on here?

Oklahoma is averaging 10,262 in home attendance this year, which is 89% of their arena's capacity.

Cincinnati is averaging 6,735 in home attendance this year, which is 51% of their arena's capacity.

Yea my memory is fuzzy when it comes to the details.

Dixon dribbled off his foot and out of bounds against WVU in the BE tournament in the last minute of the game. WVU got the ball and made a shot to win the game (wasn't it the 3 pointer that was tipped, just like in the 90's against WVU?).
