I don't think anything ever shifted. Someone with pretend "sources" made a false claim and 1,000 people parroted it.

Chad is annoying. Never admits he could be wrong.

Our former players are the worst. If the hire isn’t “their guy” they cry about it. We need to move on from these guys. If they don’t like the hire, shut up and give the guy a chance. Literally everyone in college basketball loves this guy except our fans and players.

Kenyon Martin never says a word about us unless he’s criticizing something. Never even comes here, but thinks he should have a say in who is hired.

Its honestly baffling, these guys think the university owes them something because they played basketball here 20-30 years ago. We appreciate everything you did for the University THEN, but Kenyon hasn't done anything other than dunk the basketball when the new arena opened. Terry Nelson wants to tweet and then backtrack and delete it and Corie Blunt who is usually a decent guy says he's done, he said the same dumb stuff when brannen was hired, If Wes Miller wins they will all crawl back.

He's an absolute joke.

He owes UC, UC fans, and Erik Martin an apology. The amount of bs he caused by running with that story has put a damper on this hire.

I sat here and listened to him go on two seperate radio shows on Monday (Mo Egger and Lance) and say it was all but a done deal. It was just a matter of it was going to be finished Monday night or Weds (Tues was the Davenport service).

He was so confident in fact that he and Mo talked about what Martin's hire meant for boosters, reopening check books and healing old wounds.

Fwiw, I don't even have twitter and I'm tempted to create an account and spice up the audio from his radio appearances, link them, just to remind him of what he actually said.

He did no favors to the school by putting it out there that Erik was a done deal.

sedz and i called it 2 days ago. chad was trying to make money for his site after being in the dark for the entire offseason.

it should really hurt his rep.
