Ge-Lawn Guyn has sent in his LOI.

Sanders, Thomas, and Ellis are all holding events at their schools and will be signing today.

Again, Jeremiah Davis will announce this weekend and it is looking likely that he ends up at UC.

For anyone interested Xavier's top player Michael Chandler seems to be wavering on his decision to go to XU. Rumor is that he may not sign and that UCONN is getting involved. UConn must think he can get eligible. I am a little surprised that Uconn seemingly snaps it's fingers this late in the process and the kid is now very seriously considering them.

He is a ball player...

I seem to remember someone saying something about how Big East teams aren't allowed to get partial qualifiers, which is why he left Louisville and the only reason he was planning on going to X. There are rumors that X backing off due to their recent problem with Martin not qualifying.

They dont allow partial qualifiers. He will not be on the team if he does not make the grades. Maybe JUCo? UConn has a way to get these guys on the court though.

Why would X back off now? They have taken 3 PQ and accepted a commitment from him like 2 weeks ago.

EDIT.

X may have backed off but I have a feeling there is more to this.

If you have a chance to go to UConn and play in the best conference in the country why wouldn't you?

Because you can't make the grades! LOL HEYO

I am interested to see what happens with a couple of key recruits around the country. Will Zeller go to Butler, IU, or UNC.

Right in Butler's backyard and they are coming off their best season ever and may not land Zeller.

He'd probably go to prep school. XU knows that if he doesn't sign in the early period with them that he isn't going to end up at XU.

Yes, I believe he'll end up being a 2012 recruit. I really doubt X backed off, although if he doesn't qualify for 2011 and is a partial qualifier, I think scholarships might have been an issue for X. That would be the only reason they would back off, imo.

Jeremiah Davis is down to Oklahoma St. and Cincinnati and will decide Friday evening per Zags. also interesting is that Maurice Aniefok still list Cincinnati as well, but W. Virginia is the favorite. I have the link to this under Jeremiah's 2011 recruiting tab.

There is no way in hell X backed off. They were oversigned when they offerred and received his commitment.

Mick just said on his weekly radio show that they will announce their signees tomorrow, 4 of them. He said that he was making sure all of t's were crossed. He also said that he hopes to have a surprise fifth signing this weekend. I am guessing he is talking about Davis.

i was unable to listen to the show tonight did he say anything notable?

that was about it as far as recruiting talk.
Add a solid big to this class and I really like it. I would have loved 2 bigs but will be happy with a Davis signing and Gates back for his senior year.

That'd give us Cash and Parker as juniors. Kilpatrick as a sophmore, and Guyn and Davis as frosh. Sanders will be a frosh too, but I think he will play minutes at the 2 and 3 with Thomas. Mick is recruiting interchangeable parts.
