Things are starting to take form. The 3 pt shooting pretty much is on Cobb at this point I think. He's the only guy I could tolerate volume shooting 3s. It was good to see him shoot 9 from deep Saturday. Out of 9 attempts he would make at least 3 most of the time I think. His personal 9-0 changed the entire game. I feel confident saying that we'll be above 30% from 3 as a team in the games he scores in double figures.

I agree he's the only volume guy. I don't mind seeing Sanders, KJ, or Caupain taking open looks...Guyn if he comes back. I don't want to see Morman or Thomas shooting any unless they are wide open and shot clock is under 10.

We are shooting almost 74% from the FT line since Nebraska when our average for the season was just over 65%. I like that trend..especially since we tend to get to the line at a decent rate. If we can just get a little more of a bump from 3 pt land we can have a very balanced all around attack.

We have some inside weapons. We rebound pretty well. We get to the line. We play D. Starting to make FT's.

We need more consistent guard play. Shooting, movement, penetration and passing. If we can get that...we can be a very good team. That's a big if. If Cobb continues to build confidence and just keeps firing...that should help a lot. When he's off we are going to struggle....but when he's on we can beat a lot of teams.

Anybody get a chance to check out Bracketology? The road to the Sweet 16 would be every Bearcat fan's wet dream.:D

Lunardi's bracket? Yeah, that would be pretty amazing if Kentucky weren't so untouchable this season. IF somehow we were able to beat Kentucky, there's a good chance we would play West Virginia, and after that the most likely opponent would be Louisville. Wow... what a run of 4 tournament games that would be.

KJ is already being unguarded beyond 3 point line, teams want him to shoot, and know he will if left open. Results to date not good.

I would like to see KJ start getting to the rim and not staying above the FT line. He was good as a freshman finishing around the rim. He is just settling for the 3 too much. His confidence is low right now and needs to get move aggressive.

Agreed. I would like to see him getting back to cutting to the rim and moving well without the ball. He is relying too much on the three point shot. Getting consistent production from the 2 spot (Morman or Johnson) and 3 spot (Sanders and Thomas) is the key to making us a very good team especially offensively...

I know. He was also 0-15 or 1-15 last year at some point but Cronin wanted him to keep shooting for some reason. After that point he shot pretty well. Of Morman, Caupain, and KJ (when they first got here)...Cronin said Morman is the best defender, Caupain is the best passer, and KJ is the best shooter.

He's just in a mental funk. He's better than this. There is a reason he has played as much as he has so far. The coach sees more from him in practice than we have seen from him in games.

It hasn't been good though. Turnovers, fouls, and missed shots. Something has to give soon. There is only so much time you can give a player to get out of a mental funk. Maybe he just isn't mentally capable of playing the game at a high speed. I hope not...because he's got some skills and he's a superior athlete.

He has had a really tough time adjusting to a role that requires more than just couple minute spurts of playing time throughout the game. I'd like to shake things up and start Morman. Let KJ play with Cobb, who is probably the most confident guy on the team.

He started last year 1-15, and ended 15-48, shooting 42%. Making 4-6 to end the year helped a lot.

In a 4 game stretch this year he was 7-16 (44%), in comparison the other 9 games has 4 threes made (4-25=16%), one banked in.

He does need to get to the line more, right now he has 2 more FT attempts than Quadri.

Maybe Cronin told him to keep shooting b/c he saw his passing abilities, lol

I hope he turns it around, we need him to start hitting some shots.
