Agree, I also think that KJ cannot continue to see 20-25 minutes a game. I would be very interested in the +/- when he is on the court. He gives you so little at least to date this season.

Until he gets out of his funk I agree that 20-25 minutes is too much for KJ. We need to all keep our fingers crossed that Guyn can come back soon or the KJ from late last year.

Can we really call it a funk? It is like Jay Bruce, how can you call it a slump when that is the norm. Other than the last 4 games last year where KJ hit 6-10 from deep he has not shown to be a consistent shooter. He is more a volume shooter like SK. KJ last year was as good as a 3 pt. shooter as SK was his worst shooting year here. KJ shot 48 threes all of last year and has shot 41 in 13 games this year.

You're right funk probably isn't the best word. Until he starts playing better. I don't think he is as bad as he has shown so to me until he starts playing as good as we had hoped a natural progression would be his minutes need to be trimmed.

Just looked at the box score. Caupain played 32 minutes and Cobb played 27. KJ had 16.

Also interesting Justin Martin played 3. You think he transferred there to play three minutes a game? Not sure what he has averaged but I can't imagine he is happy.

Martin played some at the beginning of the year. But he rarely plays at all anymore.

BB, you're going to dislocate your shoulder patting yourself on the back. Once KJ puts it together mentally he will be fine.

I think it is a race between KJ and Morman to put it all together.

KJ is 10-38 from deep. To shoot 31% (what he shot last year)KJ has to go 15-42 (35%)from here on out (based on 80 shots).

Can he do it?

We should try to give Morman 20 minutes next game and see what happens. He can't have a worse game than KJ had today. Sanders needs to stay at the 3 and we already know what we're getting there.

Echoing David, minute allocation is more important than who starts. You get 80 minutes at guard. 60 of those need to go to Troy and Farad. Let KJ and Deshawn split the remaining 20. It's pretty much what you saw today so kudos to LD.

I think you could devise a substitution pattern where Troy and Farad start and one is on the floor at all times. A la UConn last year with Napier and Boatright. (Farad's only got six fouls this year so he's not much risk to foul out.) Maybe it helps the team jump-out to a lead, which could be important for a defensive-oriented team. But, minute allocation is much more significant, and right now, it's hard to be critical of LD's methods.

This year I think it's kj. Career wise it's close but I think Morman is better all around, kj has a better looking shot.

Morman needs to mature and learn to play in the flow of the game and offense. I love DM and think he has the potential to be a difference maker but he has to tune in to coaching. If he does that he will be fun to watch.

Who has a higher ceiling, KJ or Morman? Just curious as to what the board thinks

Morman looks like the better bet at this point. It is still his first season getting game action, so it is easier to give him a pass. KJ has been disappointing and he seems to struggle to play smart. In retrospect, I wish we would've had Strickland transfer earlier and landed Terrell or Carrington, both have been really good this year.

In the last 2 games, Clark has played 69 minutes and committed 2 fouls. And it isn't like he isn't being active. He's been great. How about that steal, tip to himself and big time jam? Impressive stuff all around from him.

Cobb got that whole thing started with a nice duck-in from the 3 pt line and a nice runner. He's done that a few times this year, and once he shows teams he can drive past them it loosens the perimeter D a bit. He's the only guy I've seen willing to do that.

Very good defense, not perfect but they were active on the inside and did a decent job closing out on shooters.

You see what I mean with Shaq? Made a nice move to the hoop early in the 2nd Half, then went to the basket a 2nd time and got denied...we never heard from him again after that. What is it about a little adversity that makes this kid so passive? Better effort from him defensively though.

We all see the same things with Clark. Going to be special.

KJ, Sanders...ugh. KJ is the laziest passer I've ever seen.

Good effort overall, appreciate how hard the team played today.
