Since the Bearcats loss @ Xavier, UC has allowed 1 point per possession 1 times (Cleveland State) and has not allowed more than 66 points.

In that same time span (9 Games) UC has 6 games where opponents have scored less than 60 points.

Our Defense is just flat out Elite.

Honestly this is the kind of team I wanted before the season started. Elite defensively and an Offense that is constantly moving, pushing when it cane and probing the defense to generate good looks. I had mentioned that I didn't want our offensive goals to be a detriment to our defensive identity and I think early in the season, we were very much focused on offensive more than defense. And Mick even said that he hadn't even really worked on half court defense well into the season. But once we took that Xavier loss, the focus went back to defense and its who we are. I want elite defense and an offense that can punish you when you make a mistake. We have that.

This game and the way it started set up perfectly for UCF. A quick kick in the ass before we go to the tacko Stand.

ALSO

This was a 58 possession game. And we scored 78 on the road.

1.39 points per possession.

You would have never guessed we'd finish that way after the way we started

Also of note:

Jacob Evans had a 4 assist Zero TO game.

His TO% in conference is an Elite 8.9%.

Historically he always protects the ball in conference play

On the broadcast there was something about Clark, Evans, and Bridges from Villanova being the only 3 players in the country with certain numbers. Did anyone catch exactly what that was?

A well rounded game - I got that much. Pt's Reb, asst possibly.

one of them was 37% 3 point shooting. maybe points and rebounds for the other?

Good to see Cumberland and Cane back in the swing of things...like really good! I'm a lot less nervous about how good we can be when these two are in the flow of the game.

Dynamic duo looked good again...lol!

They said just before half time they were shooting 30% higher than us, we ended up 10% higher than them for the game. That's an impressive turn around. To go with only turning it over twice in the last 30 minutes. Would love to see us start off hotter than that, but still really happy we can get ourselves out of a bad game pretty quickly at times.

mick knows it. look at the end of that game. cane with all the starters the last 10 minutes, jenifer comes in for the last 2 minutes with the rest of the back ups.

If you're going to play someone with the starters at the end of the game why not at the beginning? It seems every game we've come out flat with Jennifer starting and them once Broome is in we go on a run.
