Troy has look of someone whose quit

Here is the thing with young kids though, it could be off the court stuff causing his recent performance (I mean personal stuff for him).

As much as we tend to ignore it sometimes kids just have a rough time in life and it transitions over to the court as well. I'm not saying that is happening to Troy (I have no inside knowledge or anything so please don't read anything into this) but it's possible.

There are just so many possibilities for why he's struggled recently, all we can do is hope he figures it out asap because the team goes as he goes.

I think it's team as a whole. Players just haven't even tried past few games. At under 4TO in 2nd half zero players got off bench! Team comaraderie is at all time low. We're losing to teams on home court we've NEVER come close to losing to. Davis is average coach would've like to see what savino or Jackson could do. Who on team did Davis recruit?

Yeah, sad days for bearcat fans. When you lose to ecu and Tulane changes need made

I think the changes that need to be made are the players attitudes. It was refreshing to hear everyone blaming themselves for their effort and poor execution in the post game.

As far as coaching changes go....Larry Davis needs to be replaced by Mick asap. It is unfortunate that we lost Mick for the year. Yes, I believe mick on the sidelines would have prevented our two bad losses this year.

Larry was put in a bad situation and our players immaturity hasn't helped.

It's unfortunate for everybody. The reality is nobody plays for the assistant coach the way they would play for the head coach. Without Mick there constantly on their case, they allow themselves to slip. The team has actually done a nice job in general all things considered.

Very true...hard to keep perspective when you are watching our program lose to Tulane at home. Which is obviously why the thread got out of control haha.

My suggestion to the fans is the same one I would give to the players put this one in rear view mirror and get ready for X.

Completely agree, there's not a magic player at the end of the bench that the coaches are just overlooking. The team is in complete disarray right now and it will be interesting to see if they regroup themselves or piss the season away. I have a hard time believing if Mick were on sidelines that things would be this bad but that is out of anyone's control. I hope Mick addresses this team individually and as a whole this week and lets them know what it means to wear a Bearcat uniform. I have never been as upset as a Bearcat fan as I am after yesterday's loss. I can take not being as good and losing if you pay your best and give the effort. This team is not doing that. They seem entitled to something. I don't blame Davis for this either. He's been put in a bad spot and this team has given up on him. But a team is only going to be as good as the players choose to play and give effort on the floor. And again right now they aren't putting in the work. I don't know what the answer is other than to hope the players find it upon themselves to play better. We can march any lineup we want and we will lose if the team as a whole doesn't play hard and play as one. Right now I am disgusted with them and on the heels of the shootout it's even worse. I hate losing to Xavier and I sure as hell don't want to watch them lose on our home floor.

I tend to agree with you and Jeff on the Mick Cronin point. At times I do think he micromanages a little bit but that is needed with this inexperienced team. I think Larry has done a very admirable job given the situation but there is a reason Mick Cronin is the head coach and Larry is not. This trend is very concerning. Some major growing up needs to happen not just for the sake of the rest of the season but for the programs health overall going into next year. All of these guys besides Sanders will be back. They cant lose their culture and there should be enough talent on the roster to win big time games. Just have a long way to go to get there and that has me worried that I am saying that in the middle of February.

Jack I think there has been some issues for awhile. Morman had a rough start,Strickland left,Guyn has not been around. Roles have changed. Now Moore is having problems. Caupain is young and had a issue that wasn't related to the tech's. Lots of things going on. Last year we had 3 very good seniors leading the team. This year it isn't apparent who if anyone has stepped up. The coach is out. Lots of issues.

We've played like a top 20 team and now all of a sudden were playing like an top 150 team. Something happened behind closed doors that the players haven't responded to since Caupain didn't start. players seemed so much at peace and loose when Davis first took over then it's like BOOM something changed. Our players need get it together and toughen up. coaches or players deserve to use locker room or offices unit we run X out gym.

I am glad I recently joined this group-a lot of great smart caring comments-I may not have to say too much-just read. Bulldog I like your last comment a lot.

Don't get all caught up in what you think the team should or should not be. Some teams shoot well, others don't. It does seem to be a characteristic of Bearcat teams in the recent past. We're not Kentucky, we will not be running and gunning and scoring hundreds of points per week of games. I will never stop supporting. M64W, the team and program needs your support.

You can't to put guards out on court that can't dribble, pass or shoot, big men that can't make layups.

I think some are being overly critical. I picked this team to win 23 games. It'll end up close to that. I did think they'd compete for the league title and that has gone by the wayside. Knew itd be an up and down season. My frustration is when they don't show up mentally.

Give me 100% effort I'm cool win or lose. When you put on bearcat uniform and you lose badly to Tulane and ecu something has to give.
