The time when Calipari OWNED Mick

Calipari is a snake and what is wrong with college basketball, he's cheated everyplace he's been and he hasn't really gotten in trouble for it. He just leaves and does the same thing at another place. The guys has no shame what so ever, and it sucks for the coaches who recruit the right way.

It's the same exact concept at steroid users in baseball and players who work hard with out steroids to get to the majors. People will always cheat, it sucks but it's true.
To get Yancy, still till this day Micks biggest get as coach. We hired legendary high school from Yancy high school and let his brother walk on. Not saying Mick cheated but best believe FAVORS were handed out

I also remember us offering a scholarship to Teague's close friend. He committed to us and ended up at Indiana State...

George Jackson never coached Yancy at Withrow and had less than zero to do with Yancy committing to UC. I have explained this to you before...

Mick's whining about everything gets really tiring...main reason why I'll never be 100% on board with him as our coach...

To be fair, this case of whining is from a very long time ago. I know what you're saying in general, but I really believe Mick is growing as a coach and fixture in the game. I think part of the reason for stories like this, is that Mick had to fight from the very bottom of the best conference ever to gain any respect. So I get it. I don't love it. But I do get it. And this isn't something that I think we'd see from Mick today.

Lol dude I'm close to situation. Mick and coach jack had to zero connection. Coach jack still had his hand on everything going on at withrow.

Lmao I almost shitted myself. you don't personally know one coach or player.
The two have NOTHING to do each other boy...I am without ANY question the most knowledgeable fan on this board and likely amongst all the UC fans on this planet.

Mick hasn't changed at all. He complained about SK not getting POY and said "heroes are made in March." UC lost in the first round to a 12 seed and UConn won the National title. He continued whining about Jon Rothstein not naming any UC fans on the preseason AAC first team. It gets ANNOYING...

If Coach Jack was so influential, Yancy would have gone to Seton Hall. You know, where George was coaching when Yancy committed to Cincinnati in 2007. I know Coach Jack well, and consider him a friend. He didn't have a hand in Yancy committing to UC while he was on staff at Seton Hall, and he wasn't hired at UC until Yancy was going on his sophomore year. But keep making stuff up. It's your thing...

Coach jack got ran out of Seton hall. Btw, he got that job delivering them a nice kid from withrow. He didn't leave withrow until that kid was jr/sr at seton hall and kid became one of their better players. When Yancy left coach jack left. What about the brother?

Coach jack even got Yancy from Hughes to withrow. Trust me I know the history. Coach Leon from Woodward would've got job coach jack got if Mick was just looking to give local job. I guarantee you that coach jack and Yancy are still in close contact

Not the first time Calipari has gotten under another coach's skin. Remember when Chaney at Temple threatened to kill him?

I understand what you mean about annoying whining. Some of our fans whine and complain about the same things over and over.

However, imagine the pride SK and Co. felt when they heard their head coach publicly stating he thought they deserved more? That type of thing can go a long way to build team unity. When a coach has your back you tend to play your butt off for him.

I am not a big fan of excuse making but I don't think it's chronic with Mick...but your examples (above) are not excuse making. You could look at it as complaining I guess (if you are the complaining type you might recognize it as such) but there are other ways to look at it if you choose to.

So backing your players is annoying? Got it.

You think Mick really gives a flying crap about Rothstein's preseason rankings? He doesn't. At all. Only reason he's vocal about it is so his players know he has their back, and it gives them motivation/bulletin board material. He's getting his guys psyched.

How many recruits do you think calipari has done this with to with coaches all over the country. In the last three years mind you. A lot of people out there are saying it was Tyler Ullis. Stupid article and unless they call out who it actually was, only a few actually know the truth. Cal will get his, it always comes back, kind of like an undefeated season that you just cant finish.

Keep that stuff in private. It is so annoying to hear him whine about that stuff and then not back it up on the court.

I hope you see the irony in complaining about complaining...lol!

I see absolutely nothing wrong with Mick fighting for player recognition...hell he even fought for coach Larry Davis to get recognition. That is a positive to me.

That's different than blaming refs for a loss or something.

I don't have a problem with it either if he keeps that stuff in the locker room. Mick is a good coach but has a bad perception as a whiner amongst coaches. He did the same thing with Calhoun at UConn w/ Kemba Walker. It takes a certain personality to be an elite coach and I don't think Mick has it in him...

Pretty sure Mick is doing just fine at his profession for his age...
