Mick has come out and said he wants to be at UC until he retires. I think this is huge for the program and recruiting. Stability is always key. Also, Mick must be pleased with the vision of the administration for the future of UC basketball. This is an exciting time for UC fans!

In addition, something had to come out this week about Mick's future because we have a big recruit coming on campus in God's Gift. I believe he is scheduled to be here on the 8th and we could hear of a commitment by the end of the weekend or Monday! We could start to see some dominoes falling for the 2012 class as well with the spring recruiting period starting up. Hopefully the good news this week starts the ball rolling!

I like that all his visits after are tentative. Certainly sounds promising,

we are facing SJU as direct competition for him. even though they have a large class coming in, they lose 10 seniors, and only have 1 true big (Pelle), and 1 long term project big. Thus, there is an opportunity there for him, and the way Lavin has closed this year, I dont want to count our chickens before they hatch.

i do believe that GG is the best big man in terms of what we need that we are looking at/have been rumored to be associated with.

I forgot about the visit. That is awesome. I hope he commits. Would really make this an oustanding class.

God's Gift is UC's number 1 recruiting target for the spring, everyone else is a backup.

Mick did not just say UC is where he wants to be, he has been saying it for years.

Coaches Cronin ad Savino have worked hard building relationships with God's Gift. I like UC's chances of signing this young man a lot. But in recruiting nothing is certain till the LOI is signed and turned in.

i hope so. all the national press i have read indicates SJU is the leader. let's hope he verbals this weekend.

I'd say the visit this weekend is crucial... if he does not commit during the visit or in the first couple days immediately following I fear he never will.
