Too Soon UL Game Thread?

OK so I looked into a few things. Of the 6 players who are not senior captains...here are the approximate assist/steal/block to turnover ratios.

Sanders...3.5:1
Caupain...2.5:1

Everyone else is between about 1.75:1 and 2:1.

GG is coming on lately though...in both points and the above ratios.

Point averages are between 3.5 and 7. Nothing earth shattering...but JS and TC are 5 and 6 in points and ST is 4th...and GG is on the rise. JL is needed big time for his size. If I had to leave someone out it would have to be DN and KJ at this point...except for spot minutes.

I will bill it against "engineering school"...who's gonna know? It's not a private university...we can party in Hawaii if we want to. Hot tubs and Champagne. Just call it a scouting trip.

But we are undefeated at home, so dont we play better at home...
I guess what im trying to say is, we will win. SK is to hot right now and is just better than russ smith and he will show it. JJ stay out of foul trouble and dominate that Harrell clown

Harrell is a straight fool. I think their will be some strong antics between him and the students.

BTW have you guys seen the free JJ mean face t shirts they are giving students? I want one so bad.

If you want to know...JJ is at 3.25:1, TR is at 3:1, and SK is at 2.25:1.

When you factor in everything else they mean to the team these numbers don't really matter. But...BUT...it's interesting to know that Sanders has the highest ratio of any player on the team in this category of assists/steals/blocks to turnovers. JJ #2, TR #3, and SK #5.

One thing I am worried about is "jawing". JJ seems like he's just going to do that in games. We must have done some of that at UL game according to Pitino. This game is already going to be a brawl...we don't need another Xavier type situation.

I wonder how much credence Cronin will give the Pitino post game comments in game 1. Do we act like it never happened or have JJ or TR go over and apologize in pre-game warmups to kill the issue. I am not even sure if there is an issue....but my guess is there is at least some small issue.

I have always thought Mick praises Pitino too much. It seems Pitino never gives any credit to Mick and Cincinnati. Just seems like a little brother thing to me. Its like Pitino could be great to Mick behind closed doors but when the spot light is on he turns into a whiny dick, especially when UL loses. If Pitino was pissed for something Rubles did I would tell him to go pound sand. Thats a really childish thing to be pissed about.

It seems like the big name programs like UL, UConn, Memphis, even Syracuse, Georgetown when we were in the BE dont respect UC. They certainly dont give UC any credit when we beat them.

Here is my thing with the the Pitino and Cronin situation. You are right...it's a big brother situation....but when Pitino gave the future BB games to Memphis and called it "first come first serve" it tells you just how much Cronin means to Pitino (not the other way around). Maybe a phone call? Nope. Just a sleezy FU.

A lot of fans gave Cronin shyte for that...but if I were Cronin I would not have been worried if I had a great relationship with a coach. I would have expected to see our two teams playing in the future...the SHOCKER came when Pitino didn't lift a f&&*^*)ing finger to call Cronin.

You are dead to me....

Anyone doing any tailgating? Kegs and Eggs? I will be at Mio's on Short Vine at 10 am. I love pregaming there. Very straight shot, short walk to Fifth Third. Great bar, food, great beer selection (Mad Tree) and the main bartender Jennifer is a huge UC fan and knows a lot about Cincy sports.

Could careless about Pitino and his Cardinals. I want this win for the team and coaching staff. This team has put it all on the line the entire season. This would enhance there chances of winning the first league title. A goal there efforts have certainly earned to this point.They were picked to finish 4th or 5th in the league and with 4 games left they are in 1st place and have the highest team ranking in the league. They have overcome the doubt of there own fanbase in some cases. This isn't about my distain for the Cardinals it is about the respect I have for THIS team and its coaching staff. Beating a HOF coach twice in the same year,the defending National Champion who many thought was the deeper more talented team speaks for itself. This is about validation for the players and the Coach. We have a tradition associated with this program that went missing for a while. Its back now and the young men who are representing this University are a big part of recapturing that which was lost. GO BEARCATS!!!!!!!

It could be worse. I may not even be able to watch it on TV in the south. Rumor is they will be showing the Florida game and ESPN3 doesn't have the rights to it.

I will be going nuts if I have to listen to that one on radio.
