I don't want Ronnie Johnson. He is a Guyn type PG who isn't as good defensively. No thanks.
I don't want Jones but since we have 3 available spots if we could get Graham, Johnson and Harris that would be amazing

Ronnie Johnson will not be a Bearcat unless something changes.

If that's the case then I take back what I said, I definitely don't want him especially with a team that has no clear cut leader. I just looked up Newbill and didn't realize he averaged 18 points. If we can land Newbill, Harris and Graham I would be ecstaticHis recent comments have rubbed a lot of coaches the wrong way. Seems like a terrible excuse to transfer because of too much subbing.
Where are you getting 3 scholarships? What am I missing.
reinventing Guyn is not going to happen. His strong suit is defense that is why he played. If Mick thought he could get 11pts and 4 assist out of him he wouldn't be looking to bring in a pG for one year. Guyn's senior at that. If Caupain steps up his defense he will play the majority of minutes at PG. Really don't see Johnson coming here.Guyn could do that if he did the things that are his strong suits. Which is why it is so frustrating to see a big strong PG hang on the perimeter where he isn't the best shooter.
If I remember right Mick said on his radio show last night they they have 2 spots but if they could get the right guy they could make space. I don't know if he was hinting that someone is going to leave the program or not. There are 2 open spots. Until/unless another scholly opens it will remain so.

I don't understand why people are saying Strickland would be the odd man out. He hasn't played a single minute and he has great size. IMO the only guy that we would let go for a third scholarship is GuynI will be the 1st one to say Guyn or Strickland could be the odd man out if Mick wants and gets 3 more.
I just don't think Mick would give up on somebody without ever seeing him play, but anything can happenHe hasn't played a single minute and that may work against him. You don't know what he will offer but you know what the transfer or 5th year guy are able to give.
Wish I could share your enthusiasm for his improvement but I can't. Good defense but not a distributor of the rock. Playing PG is the toughest spot on the floor.Nobody thought we could reinvent Jackson either
