Plus take into account Johnson's numbers compared to guyns and realize Purdue didn't have a dominant scorer like SK taking most the shots and being the go to guy.

His recent comments have rubbed a lot of coaches the wrong way. Seems like a terrible excuse to transfer because of too much subbing.
If that's the case then I take back what I said, I definitely don't want him especially with a team that has no clear cut leader. I just looked up Newbill and didn't realize he averaged 18 points. If we can land Newbill, Harris and Graham I would be ecstatic

Guyn could do that if he did the things that are his strong suits. Which is why it is so frustrating to see a big strong PG hang on the perimeter where he isn't the best shooter.
reinventing Guyn is not going to happen. His strong suit is defense that is why he played. If Mick thought he could get 11pts and 4 assist out of him he wouldn't be looking to bring in a pG for one year. Guyn's senior at that. If Caupain steps up his defense he will play the majority of minutes at PG. Really don't see Johnson coming here.

There are 2 open spots. Until/unless another scholly opens it will remain so.
If I remember right Mick said on his radio show last night they they have 2 spots but if they could get the right guy they could make space. I don't know if he was hinting that someone is going to leave the program or not.

Nobody thought we could reinvent Jackson either

I will be the 1st one to say Guyn or Strickland could be the odd man out if Mick wants and gets 3 more.
I don't understand why people are saying Strickland would be the odd man out. He hasn't played a single minute and he has great size. IMO the only guy that we would let go for a third scholarship is Guyn

He hasn't played a single minute and that may work against him. You don't know what he will offer but you know what the transfer or 5th year guy are able to give.

I just don't think Mick would give up on somebody without ever seeing him play, but anything can happen
