Crazy to think that his career is halfway over. I know we'd like to see more bc of his size and skill, but he made a pretty big step this year. Especially for still being such a young guy. Will we see him at PG his whole career? Or will he move to SG in Jenifer's SO year?

IMO he is the pg until he's gone this year will be Caupain and Cobb at 1 and 2 and as seniors it will be Caupain and kj at 1 and 2 but when they graduate Jennifer will take over at the one but we are still looking for number two of the future.

I think we get big time shooter this spring

Did yall hear on the radio show when LD said they had 3 freshman coming in, and were looking to add 2 more players to the roster? Sounds like Mormon is for sure done.

If that's the case, it's kind of a shame. Never really seemed to have a bad attitude on the court. And his athleticism was always something that was enticing.

Really wish that they would have taken Jered Terrell with Morman, too bad it had to be one or the other.

After the freshman year Terrell had on a pretty good URI team, that decision is looking just as silly as many of us predicted. Hindsight is 20/20, but I recall most of the board wanting Terrell.

Actually, looking back at the recruiting thread, it looks like we wouldn't have landed Terrell anyway? My memory was a little fuzzy. Was it Carrington we had a shot at and passed on? He had a pretty decent freshman year too looking at the numbers, but I honestly didn't see either one play this season. I would blindly take either over Morman though if he is leaving the program.

I know some of the situations were legitimate, but we have been losing too many guys to transfers lately. Davis, Gaines, Lawrence, Strickland, and now possibly Morman come to mind. Plus Guyn's situation is a little odd, but I will withhold judgement on that one for now. Gaines would have never contributed anyway, but it makes you wonder why he was ever here in the first place.

Didnt he also say he and Mick will be meeting with Morman and it is completely up to him weather he stays or not?

Looking at that list, none of those guys were going to get any minutes here. Lawrence would have had to take dramatic steps forward, and judging by what he did this year, doesn't look like that was going to happen. In the process of first recruiting those guys, the level of player in this program went up. I think it's a good thing.

As for Troy, it looked like the Purdue game gave him his swagger back. While he had a rough game against Kentucky, he absolutely attacked the basket time after time after time. Just unfortunately for him Kentucky has the best group of rim protectors since who knows when. He still ended the game with 13 points 4 assists and 4 boards.

If he trusts himself to get to the rim whenever he wants (because he clearly can) he is going to have a special final 2 years here.

Also if Jenifer lives up to the hype then they'll probably just play with 2 PG's Caupains Sr year like UConn did Napier Sr year. That never hurts.

Troy had a great 2nd year, I think he still has a lot of development left though, and a lot of maturing/growing into a leader. He can and should be the defacto team leader. I still think his more natural position is the 2, but he can handle the 1. He needs to continue to get to the basket and create shots for himself and others. He needs to finish at a higher pace when he does get to the basket. I saw signs during the last third or so of the season of him continuing to move in the right direction, calling for the ball when the shot clock ran down, getting to the rim, getting the ball in the low post etc, it's there, hopefully it continues to develop.

Lawrence starts if he was here

Lawrence struggled at Manhattan this year and my guess is he was suspended because of his attitude about wanting to play on the wing. No way in hell he would have started this year over clark or ellis. No way

"Great" season is a stretch. Heading into February, most of us were disapointed in his season. He finished the season a little better, but 3 assists a game from your point guard, and only 9 points a game, isn't that great of a season. He showed glimpses of what he can become, but his consistency definitely needs to improve.

He struggled to get minutes at Manhattan. He wouldn't start here, he wouldn't play here.

He already was a pretty key player as a freshman here, averaging 15 minutes per game. There's no way he wouldn't have played at least that and probably more had he stayed here.
