Ahh, I didn't realize that.
haha me either, had to look it up on Gobearcats.com
What kind of numbers should we see from him next year?
Last year:
31.3 mpg 9.6 ppg 3.6 rpg 3.6 apg 1.2 spg 2.1 TO 44.4 FG% 78.8 FT % 40.8 3 PT%
I'm hoping for:
33 mpg 12.5 ppg 3.8 rpg 4.5 apg 1.4 spg 1.8 TO 46 FG% 83 FT% 39 3 PT%
I'd like him to attack the basket and draw more fouls. He averaged just 3 FT attempts per game (SK was 6.3 as a SR). Getting in the lane can get him more assists too. No more talking about how good he's going to be. He needs to be that good all the time starting right away next year. I'm encouraged by the fact that he had 17 FG attempts vs Kentucky. I'm banking on that tournament experience giving some of these guys a new perspective.
Other than the minutes I would agree with most of it. Our kids are required to play harder on D than most teams do so it would be nice if they each get around 10 minutes of breathers. If Jenifer can give us 5-10 minutes we should be fine. This year we spent so much time worrying about Troy and Cobb switching on and off (for PG reasons) that we didn't find out what the best lineup and chemistry was until very late. Jenifer will allow us to play the right players together and at the right positions.
I can see Jennifer getting 10-15 or even more minutes as a freshman even with the crowded backcourt. He'll be able to create shots for everybody based on what has been seen and heard about him.
I always thought Williams was the weakest of the 3. I remember they "RAN" us out the gym a couple times.Imo Caupain needs to watch some film of Deron Williams at Illinois. He was a big PG that like Troy, didn't shoot a ton. But he averaged over 6 assists per game his last 2 years. If TC stays at PG, I'd like to see higher assist numbers.
