A teammate of Whitehead's on the New Jersey Playaz, Isaiah Briscoe, is a class of 2015 five-star. Briscoe wasn't his usual self on Saturday. He lists offers from Syracuse, Baylor, Arizona, Pittsburgh, Seton Hall, Miami, Cincinnati and Villanova.

With offers from a majority of the high-major programs, the 6-foot-4 guard listed Arizona, Seton Hall, Rutgers, Cincinnati, Florida, Baylor and Pittsburgh as the schools that are recruiting him the hardest. Syracuse has also been deeply involved, as has St. John’s.

One of the schools mentioned, Cincinnati, had assistant coach Darren Savino in attendance for today’s game.

UC has been in on this kid very early. It doesn't always pay dividends but sometimes it really does. I'd like to see this kid in the red and black in a couple years.

We offered him more than two and a half years ago. That's getting in early. I hope its Lawrence 2.0.

Dream Class: Briscoe, Diagne, Jones.

Homerun Class: Sanders, Owens, Gates.

Solid Class: Jenifer or Evans, Beasley, and one the other 6 from above.

I think it will be a 3 person class. With two scholarships left and not much talent left on the board for 2014 I can easily see the staff pocketing one. Im sure this list will change but that is some serious talent UC is competing for. Keep the momentum rolling Mick.

In recruiting never take a family members word for it. I've heard it is still very wide open for Isaiah's services. Plans to cut down the list in Spring or Summer, until then I'm not ready to cut UC. Never know what a huge run in March could do for recruiting.

I don't think it really matters who is after him a lot of people think he is a Arizona lean but I think it comes down to Arizona or home town Rutgers.

Those who have pmed me have asked about briscoe and I have told them the same thing. Briscoe is a long shot and IMO the coaching staff is treating his recruitment as such still involved but not expecting much.

Briscoe did not have any major recruiting updates, but he did say he “planned to cut his list down to 10 in the next two or three weeks.” - Sounds pretty open to me.
