I am not saying you can not analyze the team and its current standing. Of course there are glaring issues with this basketball team. They simply dont have the talent to overcome many things. Obviously on the offensive end. Where I get annoyed with you is you think that calling them out makes you some sort of basketball rebel. You just bitch about how bad they suck constantly. They have 19 wins and are going to the dance. Yet you feel the need to say you want your money back for tonight's game before they even went on their run. It's f*cking tiresome. Analyze all you want but if all you ever have to say is just negative then just go to bed already.

We do have the talent to over come many things. They don't play smart bball and our epic scoring droughts to end the game prove it. So you're saying we don't have the talent to drive to the hoop and draw a foul in the final 4 min of tonight's game? And if you think all I say is negative font read it or block me. Sorry I speak the truth about the play of our team and the past month there has been waaaay move sh!tty play than good so that's what your going to hear. Not all of us have our heads up our arse like you.

I'm sorry but this team just flat out sucks right now. I cannot believe Cronin blamed the defense again. The defense was pretty damn good but this team is so fundamentally bad on the offensive end it's embarrassing. I can't remember a team looking this bad on offense in my entire life. They are awful at passing, have no clue how to execute a fast break, and turn the ball over if the defense gives them the stink eye....Then again after last game Cronin talked about there was a reason they paid him to be the coach. Never heard a coach say something like that in my entire life.

SK is getting worse. His shots aren't even close to the rim and he is a walking turnover. Good shooters don't average at least one airball a game. Cash's favorite move is to drive into the lane and then turn around and slowly dribble the ball back out past the 3 point line. The offense slowed down considerably when he came back in with a few minutes left to play. Even with a minute left he walked the ball up the court.

And why the hell was Sanders in there? I'm so sick of hearing about him having a good shot. His slingshot is ugly and slow as hell. He is now 30% from behind the arc and does nothing else well. He had no business being in there at the end of the game.

Sorry for the ramble. I think this might be the most frustrated I've been in a long time in UC basketball. After shelling out a decent chunk for season tickets and watching the pathetic display on the court I'm pretty pissed.

We are 19-7 currently. We are 7-7 in our last 14 games. We have 5 games remaining (3 road, 2 home).

We'll have to win both home games (UConn, South Florida) and one road game (UConn, #12 Louisville, #21 Notre Dame). Doing so would make us 3-3 in our last 6 games, and 5-5 in our last 10 games.

Winning only two of the final 5 games would put us at 2-4 in the last 6, and 4-6 in the last 10. Those are TERRIBLE numbers going into Selection Sunday.

We are 2-4 against teams that were ranked top 25 when we played them. Also a bad sign.

So unless things improve soon we are clinging to life as a bubble team and probably needing a win in the tournament. The way I see it, we may need 3 wins between the remaining schedule and the tournament, if not 4.

.

This game was massive for us because it was our last home game against a ranked opponent.

Of those first 12 games, count the 3 vs. decent teams (Alabama, Iowa St and Oregon). Take the other 9 "W's" and toss them since they were vs. patsies. NOW you have a realistic W/L record. Not 19-7. More line 10-7. It is still a winning record. Question is, will it get us to the dance? Need to win a couple more remaining games AND make a decent showing at MSG. Where's Yancy when you need him?

It's really frustrating man. Our d was solid. How many chances in the final 3-4 min did we have to tie it or take a lead? Between the turnovers and jacked up 3's I would say we had more than 5 opportunities just in that time frame to take command. All we had to do was go to the basket aggressive and draw a foul but they didn't even try to attempt that. It's frustrating but I think this loss is on the players shoulders. They should have enough sense to know to go to the hoop with them in such foul trouble. But they literally live and die by the 3.

Cronin has to tell them who has exactly how many fouls. The players may have an idea, but they don't have those stats in their heads. If you want to hang somebody, start at the top.

If we put as much effort into driving the lane as we did perimeter passing and shooting 3's, we'd be a tougher team. But.............talk to Cronin. throw out Cash's 3 attempts and he's 3/6 shooting 50%. Kilpatrick, that's another story. He has the quickest release and is usually our best 3-shooter, just not of late. Sanders must make a lot of 3's in practice because he's been given the green light lately. Poor Shaq got in for a whole 2 minutes - again!. While Rubles may be decent defensively, he shouldn't touch the ball offensively. But, that being said, other than Parker, he's the only one who even attempts to drive the lane and draw fouls. Problem is he ALMOST NEVER gets to the rim, and when he does, he has no touch when it comes to putting it in the cylinder. That's really sad. He tries hard.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, give me a team of 5 Parkers! He plays like every game is his last game ever. Keep it up, JaQuon!!!

I'm sorry but Parker was non-existent for 3/4ths of the game. And I feel like that is pretty typical of him. Luckily he got bailed out on a couple of his flops tonight. Of course there was the fake injury again when he gave up an easy basket in which he entered the game a couple minutes later....I like Parker but he flops too much and acts like he is injured too much. Like I've said before, that isn't what I've grown accustomed to when rooting for the Bearcats.

As much fault lies with Cronin (I'd say probably around 90%), I can guarantee you he told them how had fouls. It goes back to basketball IQ. This team doesn't have it. And SK has been killing them in crucial situations this year. No idea what is up with him but he really hasn't been very good for about half the season.

Exactly what I am saying. I guarentee Cronin and all the assistant coaches told the players all the gt good players had 4 fouls. It's on the players to know that and take advantage. For Christ sake its on both end scoreboards and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to look up and see that. The last 3-4 min falls on the players bc their iq was non existent.

If you watched the replay, Parker took an elbow to the face. Just because it didn't draw blood, doesn't mean he wasn't "seeing stars". When you don't see him with the ball, doesn't mean he's not playing tight D. If you see him standing around on offense while somebody dribbles aimlessly, blame the coach!

Trust me, I'm putting a lot of blame on the coach. Most of it to be exact. But I'm sorry he got elbowed and gave up a layup. If you get hurt and have to come out you should be hurt, not popping back in there in a couple minutes. My issue is he does this all the time.

I agree his defense is generally good. He didn't switch on the pick which left Porter wide open for the biggest shot of the game. Maybe it was Cash's fault but it looked like Parker to me. No excuses either way for two senior guards.

Blame the players. Yes the offensive scheme isn't amazing but it's up to the players to make shots and drive to the hoop. This team can not shoot and they don't have the brains to go to the hoop when they had 5 minutes of being in the double bonus.

They definitely squandered the last 4 or 5 minutes of that game! If they haven't learned by now that you have a higher point percentage driving and hopefully get And1's, it's probably too late to teach them.

For the majority of the game the defense was not very good. Georgetown ran a clinic inside the arc for about the first 25-30 minutes. Well over 50% on 2-point attempts until we turned it up in the 2nd half. This is a Hoyas team that has been terribly inefficient on offense this year. They came in to this game with the 102nd most efficient offense. Our terrible offense ranked 75th. You still have to break 60 to beat good teams though. No excuse for the overall defensive effort though. That offense should not break 60 on our floor. Their three best scorers went for 47 points on 14-28 shooting. That's not good defense against a solid offense, nevertheless one that struggles.

Mentally, this team was absent again. Justin Jackson could have had 20 points last night but like most everybody on the team he doesn't look at the rim when shooting contested layups, he just throws the ball up and he falls backwards when releasing his free throws. Rubles should have stayed in the locker room.

Cash was being guarded by a big and doesn't drive past him. Cheikh gets a rebound with a guard on him and doesn't even look at the basket, he passes back for a turnover. Team in the double bonus and you don't attack (1-2 from the foul line is better than a missed 3). Porter with 4 fouls and you don't attack him. No movement from the players as usual. I saw so many mental breakdowns last night I turned the game off before it ended. Sickened me. They can't shoot consistently and make it all worse by being timid and low iq. UC could have lived at the line last night if they had attacked. I am sick of seeing guards get past a guy and not turning the corner to get in the lane and force a play from the defense. Tired of the "let me just stand 25 feet from the basket and shoot" attitude. Freaking ATTACK!!

Absolutely brutel road schedule ahead. Looks like a 1-4 finish; 8-10 in Big East; 20-11 overall.
