Better look again because combined they average 46% from the floor. We have to play them tight and NOT allow any backdoor layups like last time.

We aren't an average defense, so no, I don't expect them to shoot better than average for a second straight game against us. Defense was not very good on those guys last game. We even doubled off of Porter late in the game and he drained a huge 3. Not saying that we'll win, but I don't expect it to be that easy for the trio this time around.

Like this matchup for the cats. We have played GT tough since Mick has been coach. We shot terrible last game and fought back and took the lead late before losing last game. GT better not be looking ahead if they do we'll beat them.

I told my brother that UC would beat Providence, Georgetown, and Syracuse and beat Louisville in a Big East Championship rematch. I admit I said it off the cuff and defensively but I think them meeting Syracuse in the next round is entirely possible.

Mick has won 4 of the last 5 meetings with JT3 and when UC lost to Georgetown they had open looks and simply couldn't make them and they were horrible from the foul line. In spite of turning the ball over, even a decent ft shooting night and the Bearcats could have easily won that game.

I don't think there is a big disparity of talent between these 2 teams. My keys to a win would be:

1) Cheikh gives you back to back games of effort on both ends. 7-8 points, 6-8 rebounds and a couple blocks while staying on the floor.

2) Stick with the Cheikh/Jackson rotation. It keeps you more athletic and get Shaq and Sanders on the floor more as well. All this gives you length on the court and speed and length are valuable on defense.

3) Rebound - Especially on the defensive side. Georgetown is not a great offensive team either. Don't give them second chances to score.

4) Limit turnovers - Same principle as above. They are not great offensively so don't give them easy baskets. On the other hand use your speed and length to create easy baskets. UC has to be on the positive side of this to win imo.

5) Play team defense. Make your rotations. Be agressive but don't reach. Be solid and hit your spots in the half court and press to get easy baskets.

5A) Tempo and movement on offense. They have to move to get good looks and they are comfortable moving fast. I think if UC can shoot 42% they will win. Let me add this - get the right shooters to the foul line. SK and Cash have to score at the ft line today.

This is precisely why I said gtown is a much tougher matchup than ul.

Ul has the flash but their offense is so reliant on turnovers. They will give up easy buckets.

Gtown is solid all around and can beat you in an up tempo and slow tempo game. They will make you work offensively

Sounds like I'll delete the recording of this game without watching it. As embarrassing at it sounds like we are playing, we can't possibly embarrass our way out of the NCAA tourney can we?! lol (I am kidding)
