The potential is there for a lot of offense in his game but it is the Bearcat defense I want to see. Clyburn averages 15 ppg and 8.3 rebounds and I'm guessing JP and JJ will guard him. The Cyclones have 4 players averaging double figures and shoot 38.5% from beyond the 3 point line. They have 5 players who average 2 or more assists per game. I particularly think Cash/Lucious will be a big match up in this game.

Both teams have played inferior competition. Iowa St. is well coached and share the ball extremely well. UC should be able to use it's size to hold a rebounding advantage and Cheikh will need to board on the defensive end. This could be one of those games we see JJ and Rubles play together some to match up with the 6'6"-6'7" guys that can shoot the three from Iowa St. I think UC wins but there will be stress moments in this game. Defense needs to show up tonight and that is why I believe the starters will stay in longer tonight. I'm picking UC by 8-12 pts.

Just have feeling its one of those make a statement weekend for the Cats. With our veterans and our talent Im picking the cats by 15. Pumped for the game tonight. Im with you Jeff I want to see 40 minutes of oppressive defense. Lets go take care of business...

Yes, I agree they will want to make a statement. If we minimize turnovers I think the Cats can win big. Shut down the Iowa St. perimeter, they average 10 made three pointers a game, and don't turn it over and you win.

Iowa state is not very good and they lost Royce white.

Uc by double digits easy. Still sticking with my uc will be undefeated in ooc play prediction. There's no reason why they shouldn't be

What channel is the game on? Im stuck at work and want to tell my wife to dvr the right channel

Its like Cbs Sports Network. I am a little worried for our defense this game. It is our first game against a real team and our D has not looked all that stout. I hope we just pressure the heck out of them because we are not very solid yet in a straight up half court man to man.

On Time Warner it's channel 322. It's not part of my base package. I get like 200 channels but it's not included, which sucks. When I pull up the channel it asks me to pay another $8.99 for it. I guess I'll head to a bar.

35-35 at the half.

UC cold from outside and ISU very hot from outside. Pretty much the story of the game. If ISU were lukewarm and UC was lukewarm, UC would be up by 10 probably.

Again there's no reason why this team shouldn't be undefeated heading into conference play.

This is a national championship caliber team

Parker was a disaster this game. Kind of feel bad for him. Sanders did well, I liked Nyarsuk a lot more than I did Mbodj. Rubles made some big plays. Terrible officiating in the second half, I think Cashmere Wright did great and the MVP of the game was obviously Sean Kilpatrick. I expect we'll be homered big time in the UNLV game, we better not come out cold tomorrow.

This team may struggle when it doesn't shoot the ball well. We lack any real post presence. Exposed tonight.

As will any team. We don't need a dominant post presence, just post players that are willing to defensively hang in there and can occasionally score on the offensive end. If you didn't think we're a backcourt team that needs to hit 3s to play at a superior level, I'm not really sure what you were expecting.

Also, can somebody please tell Rubles his 3 point shot looks absolutely putrid? He shouldn't ever be shooting from out there.

Rubles made some big plays though. That duece he hit after the terrible 3 was huge to push the lead back to 5. Nyarsuk played well and I still say by mid Jan. he will start. Rebounding sucked and Parker looked horrible. Expect him to show up tomorrow. Bottom line is that was a skilled team and UC beat them by 8. I said Kilpatrick would have to step up tonight and show he is the man and he did. That is what star players do when their team is struggling. Bottom line they passed the first test. This game is a win and tomorrow night it doesn't matter.

If anyone hears any update on Mbodj I'd love to hear it. I don't think he played after the injury. A neck one makes me a little nervous.
