No one cares about sweet 16's, there are 16 of them every year, all any one cares about is National Championships of which UC has 2.

Figures that works about perfectly for X. They win (in OT of course) and that's while Vandy's best player is out. Now he is going to come back, Vandy will go on a tear, and will make the win for X look that much better.

Yep, have to admit that him being out was huge. Also, their coach is an idiot.
 
Only Xavier, Duke, Kansas, Purdue, and Pitt have finished in the top 25 the last four years.

Only Xavier, Duke and Kansas have been in the top 25 at the end of the year, and been to 3 of the last 4 sweet 16's.

Recruits see Oscar Robertson sitting courtside and can feel the power and tradition of the Cinci Program.

Recruits go to X and see posters of Posey and Lumpkin and think, "who the hell is that???"

Does not matter, no one cares, all anyone cares about last year is that UConn won the National Championship and that Duke won the year before, etc. UC 2 National Championships XU 0.

I guess that could be a recruiting tool. "we won some National championships back around the time that really, really old guy you see sitting court side played, maybe you can change that."

"Oh those guys, West is a 2 time NBA all star, and Posey is a two time NBA champion, they went to Xavier while you were alive. Oh, and those two are Crawford and Derrick Brown, both of them left early to play in the NBA. They were just at Xavier and come back all the time."

I know, he was really good. That was 50 years ago and has little to no meaning to a lot of kids these days. That's all I'm saying.

It is hard to take you seriously when you say this just a few posts after saying:

"That is why if Kenyon had not broke his ankle and UC would have won the NCAA tourney it would have been a hollow victory as UC lost to XU that year."

If all you cared about was winning NC's then why would the XU loss matter? You made it clear your season is based on the XU game.

I enjoy using his own statements to debate him. It is fun seeing him argue with himself. (See my previous post) I am interested in how he responds to this (if he does at all, I have done this multiple times to him and he rarely responds to it)
 
Can't use Oscar as a recruiting tool when he himself has boycotted the season so far. He has openly said the OOC schedule is a joke and a main reason why fans don't support this team. When the big o calls out the scheduling something needs to change. 5 years of garbage teams coming to 5/3 and mediocre play from uc was bound to catch up and we are seeing the full effect of it.
