Oh wow awesome! I bet you've loved the debates about him getting into the starting lineup.

ABSOLUTELY! It gets tense at times but I'm a big boy lol! Farad doesn't take this opportunity for granted. He has worked hard to get where he is. Though there's much room for improvement, he is the pride and joy of the city of West Palm Beach. This is a dream come true for our family.

Hard to find fault with the result tonight. Offensively they took GOOD shots. They worked for the best shot possible and pulled the trigger instead of hesitating. Caupain and Cobb both played unselfish basketball, our guards were fantastic. Thought UCF's young quick guards might pose a problem for the 'Cats but offensively our guys were up for the challenge.

Look, they absolutely gave up too many offensive rebounds and 2nd chance points but you have to expect some of that in a 2-3 zone. UCF had some long misses that bounced their way as well.

Bottom line is they needed to play with a purpose and they did so. Congrats to the kids for working hard and playing well. They shouldn't have any problem getting up for Tulane, should they?

Another nice game from Shaq.

50 percent from FT line is ugly.

Need to board much better.

Ball movement tonight was excellent even with to many TO's

1 down 3 more to go.

Outside of allowing to many offensive rebounds, very nice game. Seemed like at least 7 of those were long rebonds off the rim though. All 5 starters scored in double figures. Wish they could have bottled the assists. 11 just between TC and Cobb. Ellis was locked in. Now go get revenge against Tulane.

Last night we shot a higher % from 3 than on FT. Don't see that very often. I don't mind 12 TO (especially since KJ had 4) when we are pushing the pace like we did. At UCF's scoring pace last night, it would've taken 16 extra minutes of us not scoring at all for them to win. That's a big margin for error.

Yeap. Can't have them boneheaded turnovers from kj during tournament time

+/- last night

Caupain +22
Thomas +19
Ellis +18
Cobb +15
Clark +14
Sanders +8
KJ +7
DeBerry +5
Moore +3
Blissitt +2
Tobler +2

I hope Morman watched the game and realizes this team will go on without him. He is not bigger than the team. Anyone know if he was at the game?

Really liked the starting lineup last night!! That is what it is supposed to look like. Shaq is starting to play under control and let the game come to him rather than force it. Cobb in the offense with TC makes the half court run so much better. KJ and JS simply don't try to get past the first line of defense and FC and ST will at least try. KJ and JS stand on perimeter and pass while the other two try to break the D down on occasion.

We are going to have games where we lose the offensive rebound margin because we have aggressive bigs going for blocks which means they are often out of position for rebounds.

Pushing the tempo helped this team because we typically struggle in the half court. However, our half court sets will look a lot better with Cobb in the lineup and inserting a confident Shaq Thomas.

Funny that we went 11-20 on FT and our centers combine for 9-12 and the starting backcourt goes 1-6. Troy just lost it on the one trip. I don't know what happened but he was way off.

A lot to like from this game. This team really has the ability to out-run teams and wear them down. Granted, it's UCF, but we're too athletic to play at a slow-tempo all the time.

- Shaq seems to be finding his niche. Really hoping he can keep that up, because I've said that before.
- Need to box out more and stop trying to block every shot. That's what lead to a bunch of offensive rebounds and put-backs by UCF, it seemed like.
- Ellis showed his versatility last night. He may not be ripped like some guys down low, but he's a lot quicker than most. Tough to guard.
- Kevin's in a funk again. The stupid passes REALLY have to stop. The problem is, with our lack of guard depth right now (no Guyn/Morman), we don't really have a choice but to play him a lot. There's still plenty of time for him to figure it out in his career, but this is crunch time for this season. I don't want to see him with the ball unless he's spotting up for an open 3.
- Great awareness by Caupain/Cobb all night. Shooting when they're open, passing when they're not, and getting long rebounds. They combined for 21/11/9.
- Sanders has vanished again. Was completely MIA in his 18 minutes (0 points). Shaq should (will) start from here on out.

Can't get too caught up in this easy win. We've had a tough time on the road, so start preparing for Tulane ASAP. I don't want to see another loss till the AAC tourney.
