USF @ Cats

Outside of the first 5 minutes and the last 5 minutes it looked like we had very little interest.

Good to know we can still win ugly games. There is no way to put lipstick on this pig.

I take that back. Once again SK did a GREAT job of closing out the game. Once again most of his points came in the second half. Once again he drained a lot of clutch FT's. Once again he came up big in a big situation. He's a big time player.

I thought JJ had a nice game on offense but I thought he looked lazy on D comapred to what he usually looks like.

GG had another nice game. I could have used more ST. I'ts been a while since I have said something great about TC or KJ. KJ has looked bad the last 2-3 games...he's not ready for the big games just yet. TC has been average at best the last 2-3 games.

The veterans are looking good...too bad we didn't come to play today. We escaped...which is more than a lot of top 25 teams can say.

I thought they looked tired. I think the Louisville game took a lot out of them offensively and emotionally. I'm not fond of the term trap game but I think history proves the game following a very tough, closely played rivalry game is often lost. The Cats won so all's well.

I also believe the freshmen look a bit worn. They'll get that second wind.

Like Mick said....get thru the two games this week then a much needed week off. Hopefully at that point we see JL back and a full strength squad. SK was also sick

Cincinnati has two one week breaks down the stretch (2/8-2/15 and 2/22-3/1) . This team badly needs them both.

14 in a row is no small feat in any conference. No team plays their best game every time. I refuse to make excuses for a win. On to UCONN.

If I would have told you UC would shoot 33% from the field and 23% from 3 would you have thought they'd won? Good teams find a way and they did. The only bench points they got I believe was from Sanders.

I have never bought into the phsyically worn down argument in college basketball.... These are 20 year olds... Its not like games are played every day. They have plenty of time to recover physically..

I do however believe that some of these guys are emotionally worn out... especially coming off a ville win...

USF always plays us tough for whatever reason.. We got the win. Big game thurs.

SK was sick too. Adrenaline took over when it mattered for him and the team though.

This game scared me. I hate playing USF. For whatever reason we just cant seem to get in a flow against them. With all the upsets this weekend I'm just glad we won. Hoping for a split this week.

Heck no. I expect UC to win both those games. Not saying either will be easy by any stretch, but this team knows what it takes to get it done. If they go 1-1 I'll be unsatisfied. In the long run, I might be okay with it, but not at the moment. This team should be favored throughout the rest of their regular season games.

No split! I'm greedy now. UConn will come in ranked - time to show the country another top 25 victim.

During a week when about 2 out of 3 top 25 teams had at least one loss I am happy to get through another week without one.

It only gets tougher

I think we might move up to 8 this week...just a hunch. It will be tough to look at our record and then put teams ahead of us with 4-5 losses when we have only 2. I think we validated that we are legit with another big road win this week.

I am not saying I think we are the 8th best team in the country...just saying who do you keep ahead of us with 4 or 5 losses? I think we will be right behind Nova or State

Yesterday was a bit of a scare but once again these guys found a way to win a tight game. I'll take the win and move on. Mick's goal of an undefeated season at home is still a realistic one. Big game on Thursday, UConn scares me a lot.

Looks like Cronin has kind of trimmed his roster for significant playing minutes to 7 at this point and probably 8 with Lawrence coming back. KJ has to stop turning it over if he wants to get back in there.

I was noticing that too. Once you get in the heart of conference play that typically happens. JL being gradually re-introduced will be helpful. If they can steal some minutes of a backcourt combinations using GG, TC, and KJ that would help SK catch a breather.
