Was Mick Cronin REALLY an Underachiever in March?

I think we could get a pool or a go fund me together and make this happen.

I mean I do need a team to root for in the tourney when UC is playing in the NIT.

SERIOUS Question: Of the years I've been a season ticket holder, I've never to deal with an NIT situation.

Do current season ticket holders get first dibs or is it free? Discounted?

2nd serious question: If we win the NIT, do we hang a banner?

So for the past nine years -2012 , you’ve had one weekend to root for them, I’m sure you can deal with it.

Don't act like you won't be depressed when they announce the Brackets and UC's isn't on it.

March Madness is my favorite time of the year. I'd rather our team be there than sitting home eating their boogers

everybody will be depressed.

but come saturday, it will feel no different than last year.

Guys I’m just arguing to argue.

Y’all love it as much as I do,

I’m bowing out for now.

I just think we should all get new hobbies for March. Some one should knit me a UCLA sweater.

I dunno, I kind of liked riding the high of winning the conference championship and at least partially believing that they could make a tourney run for a week or so the last few years.

Kind of hard to do that when you don't win your conference or make the tournament.

I went to our NIT game against Weber St in 2010. Lance Stephenson vs Damian Lillard. I thought it was fun.

I mean we have no idea what kinda long term recruiter John Brannen is going to be.

His first big swing and miss was on a publicized courting of Pettway from Alabama.

That would have gotten me excited to land him. But right now, Brannen has a very mid major staff and its not like were lighting the roof on fire with recruiting.

In 2 classes we still have just 1 top 100 player

Tari Eason fell out of the top 100 in both the composite and the 247 rankings. Why he went from solidly in the top 100 to out of it, I have no idea.

I don't think you can look at CJB's recruiting and think its been amazing or anything.

Eason is 78 on rivals. Pretty impressive.

It’s almost like we shouldn’t love a guy who brought us some of the best years out program has seen, and built some of my favorite UC players of all time

Have at it. Love him to death if you want. Just don’t get mad at me when I don’t cry when he leaves.

He was around there on 247 but dropped to 114.

Why he dropped? I have no idea

But I would say he' basically a top 100 guy. Wouldn't be shocking if he's in the top 100 in both 247 and rivals when they release their final rankings. We did a great job landing him. He is on the level of Clark and Evans as recruits no doubt.

Simply Getting in the tournament doesn’t excite me, like it does you. Maybe I’m in the minority. Just like the bengals getting in the playoffs doesn’t excite me. After 20 years, win in the thing. Don’t think it’s asking too much to advance to maybe an elite 8 every 25 years. No I don’t just care about the tournament but I do care about it

It’s ok To want to advance in the tournament after many years. Not sure why that is considered a bad thing to some. It is the pinnacle of the sport and gets you more exposure than anything else in the sport.

making the tournament is great. but making it and losing first round vs not making it at all feels the same on the first weekend.

I agree. We are going on a quarter century with 2 sweet 16s to show for it. Think about that. A quarter century. Heaven forbid wanting more. Fans actually defending this is crazy.

Yes, I’m aware it wasn’t all mick, but he didn’t exactly help it. Either did Huggins at the end. Some people will still be saying it’s random in another 25 years.
