We talking houston? They weren't ranked when we beat them. Amazing how things are rationalized around here.
You're moving the goalposts with every reply. First it was "good wins", which although vague, means Group 1 or 2 on a resume. Then it became top 25. Now it's moved again to top 25 when the game was played. No one cares what a team was ranked when you play them. None of Virginia, Texas Tech, Auburn, Clemson, Ohio St, Michigan, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Nevada, Middle Tennessee or Florida St were ranked at the beginning of the year.

Ok, so who are our good wins again?

Im seriously asking, especially since I was just told no one cares what a team was ranked when you played them.
You should inform Gonzaga, Butler, UNC and Clemson that their wins against Ohio St are worthless because they weren't ranked for the first half of the season.

I stand corrected. Our top two wins of Houston and buffalo are very impressive.

My mistake. Ha
Any idea why we get zero offense from cutters to the basket, I have watched every game closely this year and don't remember once scoring in a give n go cut to basket. Maybe a couple free throw line down low passes, could Cronin get a couple extra points a game by getting players to roll to basket since a ton of attention is given to our bigs. Just a thought.

Nope I have no idea why. Probably because the offense is just high ball screens that do nothing or we just pass around the perimeter. The teams that beat us pack the lane and dare us to shoot jump shots. I will say that cumberland makes some decent entry passes and hits open guys.... sometimes they aren't ready for it. Cumberland and broome also push the ball which is good.

Some people just can't be happy, it's not for everyone.

some people would like to win something besides regular season games. what a crazy concept. I think people are happy with different things. Some people love going to the tournament every year and that is enough. For others, simply going to the tournament isn't that impressive.

A little off topic but I always read our best wins, and I guess this isnt in line with all the metrics but I’m picking our best win as @UCLA.

There are so many little areas we could pickup points. That's whats frustrating with Mick. He says things like "we can run set plays 37 times a game." Talk about a straw man. Dude, we are asking for maybe 4-5 set plays out of timeouts, to start the half, to close the half, when Gary/Washington are on the bench, literally anything during a 12 minute field goal drought. No one is demanding a revolutionary offense or total overhaul; just show us you can manufacture some points here and there.

The other thing I see a lot of good offensive teams do that we totally could is clear out the lane. Yes it is a foul but you can do it 3-4 times before most of these hack refs call it. I would send Scott in there to body up whomever is in the paint and just seal and box them off the block until there is a seam for Broome or Evans to turn the corner and get to the hoop. Put Moore/Clark/Evans in the opposite corner 3 to keep the other defender from coming in. Its stupid simple and a lot of teams do it.

Houston, @Temple, and @UCLA are three solid wins. Not as impressive as some other teams best wins, but comparing resumes means comparing the whole thing. We have 12 overall quality wins with only one loss outside the 20.

I don't give a flying **** about being solid. I've seen solid for 8 straight years. This is the year we need to get a high seed and make a deep run. That's my expectation.
