After the Dayton dismantling this past Saturday, we are all feeling good about our Bearcats. Thats why tonights game is big. Will they come out with a big head and start thinking their press clipping are true. Or, will they still feel that they are a work in progress and need to continue to improve both on offense and defense heading into the BE schedule. I think it will be the latter. GO BEARCATS!

I think them coming out tonight and winning big would do a lot to help fans begin to crack open the door of high expectations. Back to back dominating performances would really start to signal that this year is different to many of us and we can begin to get a little confidence building going on. I hope you're right about tonight.

I think we'll start seeing some continuity. Expect a 15-20 point win. The Cats will be eager to show they are for real. Believe Wright State will play zone all game. Want to see Kilpatrick get back on track. Yancy is going to have a good game.

Only radio for the game tonight? I'm surprised UC won't even stream it on gobearcats.com...

If you can make it, you should go. Lots of cheap tickets and this team has been a lot of fun to watch this season.

If I lived in Cincinnati, trust me, I would be there. I'm up in Troy (north of Dayton) and I'll be down in Cincy for the football game this weekend anyway. Trying to cut back on the traveling back and forth due to the cost of gas unfortunately.

Game isn't on ESPN3 unfortunately. Guess I'll have to settle for Dan and Chuck on the radio.

Wow, it sure sounds like the Bearcats are getting screwed on the foul calls. I hate incompetent officiating.

This team is going to start earning some respect nationwide if they keep performing this strongly on defense. Not to mention, if the shooting can be average, this team is going to be a force to be reckoned with. Good win, against a decent Wright State team that came in second behind Butler last year.
Go Bearcats!

Wright State played about as well as they could, especially shooting the ball (50% overall and 50% from 3pt), and it was still around a 15 point game with 5 minutes left. Overall a solid effort considering Cash was banged up in the second half and some of the bigs have recently been sick.

Did Kilpatrick mop the floor as well? 26 points in just 28 mins... 8-11 FG, 5-5 3FG, 5-6 FT, 3 AST, 0 TO, and 2 STL. Has to be one of the better stat lines by a Bearcat in recent memory! Outstanding.

A 3 Senior Guard Wright State. This was a tough matchup for UC but they played well.

Great point. In Mick's postgame he mentioned that assistant coach Larry Davis told him not to schedule a game against a 3-senior guard team. It was a great test. Wright State is no Villanova, but good experience for these guys.

Unreal game...

Larry Davis brought something tonight for the first time in a long time. his hustle and intensity were awesome tonight . Also knocked down a three. I can only hope this carries over.

Verrry impressed with Wright St. Very good shooting team but you can tell they are well coached and have senior talent.

Justin Jackson and Larry Davis flat out brought it today on D. Great players for the press defense.

What can you say about Sean. He is going to have his ups and downs this year being a freshman but you have to be really excited for this kids future.

Rashad can do too much at time but I love how he is playing. His shot is much improved when he sets his feet.

Cashmere is so much better IMO than last year.

I was wondering why Cash didn't play the last 10 minutes are so. Apparently he was hit in the head and was a little dizzy, but it isn't serious. Which is good to hear. We are so much bette when he is on the court in my opinion. I like Parker, but he is clearly an off guard and backup pg at best.

Also Yancy and Thomas were sick the past two days.

I didn't think our defense was that good today. We didn't handle their screens well and while Wright St shot well from 3, a lot of them were open looks.

Our offensive production was solid, especially considering the slow start, but we need to move better with out the ball. I know everyone was talking about our defense in the Dayton game, but the crispness of our offense was what had me most excited. I didn't see as much of that tonight. We were stagnant too much, which will force us to rely on jump shots. That simply can't happen.

Overall a solid performance, but nothing great.

Mick also mentioned how this was a tough matchup for the 4s and 5s because all of Wright State's players pick and pop instead of roll. Mick mentioned that we won't see any games like that in the Big East and I agree. The big guys will bang down low in conference. Tough cover for Yancy and Thomas when they aren't used to it. Throw in the illness going around on the team and the lack of practice time this week as a result, and I would have to say it was a good effort today.
