When you lose it's always about the coaching........the coach of a college sports team is the CEO. Leaders should take the blame for poor results in a well run organization.

Hopefully we win and it's a non issue. Very good year so far for Mick and his team but a lot left to accomplish before anyone should feel satisfied.

As far as the broken record part, that feedback means very little to me from a guy who's already set the stage to blame the refs if we lose. I'm about winning and accountability, not losing and excuses.

Does Cronin get the credit for the 17 wins then under your theory? Or do only the players "win"?

We all talk about the ignore feature. Of anytime to use the ignore feature is now. We are 17-2 and about to take down our crosstown rival this week. If someone wants to come in with negative energy and take jabs at Cronin or something else, try to block it out. We are on to bigger things. So pumped for this Thursday. 2 more day!

We have the radio show tonight and I would imagine the pre game press conference.

XAVIER WINS

I think X will win due to the pressure on UC to win, X has our number, UC will get outcoached, X has played a more demanding schedule, and I am still not convinced UC can shoot. I hope I'm wrong.

I do think the pressure is on us. Mack will not out Coach Cronin. We are shooting the ball better recently and I think that trend continues especially at home. If we hit the glass and guard the drive and dish by Sumner we win. Its that simple. They have enjoyed success the last 10 years but we are the better team and it will be proven Thursday night.

Love it. Great post. We have the better team this year and we're playing better right now. X is definitely a tough opponent, so a victory won't come easily. However, if they play to their ability and win the hustle plays, we should win.

I cannot wait. It's going to be bonkers in Clifton on Thursday.

Go Cats!

Sounds like we need to force him to drive in the direction of his injury so he has to try to finish on that side and we can make sure to foul him hard if it looks like he's gonna score.

I dropped in on an Eggsavier board to see what the mood was like. They had quoted this post and were having troubles understanding why to force a guy to use his injured arm....lol! I don't want to give them the answer so I will post a couple of questions for when they come back. I don't know which arm is injured (rumor torn labrum)...but let's say it's his left arm.

Question 1 for Eggsavier fan. Which arm is likely to be most effective shooting the ball...the injured arm or the healthy arm? It's not a trick question.

Question 2. If the player drives to the bucket which arm is likely to receive the most attention from the defense (arms swatting for blocks, hacks in the lane or on the way up) the arm with the ball or the arm without the ball? Again...it's not a trick I promise.

Question 3. If you drive left to the bucket...which arm is likely to be used for dribbling and the layup? I know you're getting suspicious now...but really it's not a trick.

You get only one 24 hour period to research these questions on the internet (hint use your magic box) and you only have to get 2 correct to pass.

Don't you get it??? We're just supposed to let him go to the basket! No taking advantage of weaknesses! Lmao.

Their logic is ignorant but it doesn't surprise me since they are obviously nervous on how it could be a serious weakness. Are we going to purposely hurt him or hope he gets injured? Absolutely not, but of course we are going to attack their weakness. These same Xavier fans that don't have a football team wouldn't understand, but maybe they at least cheer for the Bengals or some NFL team, maybe they are even Buckeye football fans..If Tom Brady was coming to play us with bruised ribs are the coaches going to say hey don't rush the QB since he's injured? No, they are going to blitz more.

I guess they have bigger problems to worry about. Like how to throw a responsible Harry Buffalo party by watering down a 6 pack of Zima in a large punch bowl.

Absolutely he does, he gets the appropriate amount of credit. He also gets credit for his entire resume up to this point which is why he's earned my skepticism.

So far so good this year, I've seen some things that concern me but it's pretty hard to complain a whole lot with 17-2. If we lose to Xavier I'll complain, if we don't we'll be 18-2 with a win over our most hated rival and things will be looking up as we head into the tail end of the season.
