All the haters sliver back under rocks when the team does well. They'll all be back once we lose again. Never really around when times are good. Ever notice that.

They played well, great defense. no real haters here just fans... but beating the worst team in the big east isn't a great win other than we beat x, which is a feat for mick in itself. Funny how all the apologist tout wins over weak competition but ignore the lack of substantial success against good teams.

You just proved my point. You guys minimize any success. I'm sure you're all amped up for the next 2 games. If we somehow win the next 2 you'll say the teams weren't really that good. I think the next game will be a very tall order to win. I think we beat UCLA at home.

I just don't understand how you can seperate the two... we beat bad teams and in your mind that justifies the losses to good teams. The problem with that logic is we play 80% bad teams so there is inflated success number. The lack of tourney success proves that out.

But I'm very happy we beat them, its a great win for morale and fans. But if you think it showed anything beyond that you're off base.

If you're a fan you should be happy we are beating the teams we have played. Period!

Good argument. Probably raking it in with that kind of thinking.

And this, after 20 plus pages is where we end up. Complaining about a win over X because they weren’t good enough competition. I don’t think anyone is suggesting they’re national title contenders, but enjoy it.

lol I swear cincinnati fans are the worst.

Lol if we lost this game, they’d be calling for mick’s head, if we win, they find a way to call it a bad win.

Just cancel the season tickets you probably don’t have, stop sending the checks you probably never sent any way and just give up your fandom. Just find a new team to root for. Because if your looking for all the things wrong with this team after a win like Saturday’s ( which I’ll just assume you weren’t there for, because it was a blast tip to finish) then it’s probably a personality defect where your literally incapable of being happy.

Sports are supposed to be fun. A frickin release from shit that really matters. If losses make you suicidal and wins bring you no joy, then sports isn’t for you.

It’s maddening to open a thread and see people talking about Justin jenifers role on this team in a thread in which we beat Xavier.

Man, it’s something I’ll never understand about people. They feel more when we lose then when we win. It’s just a weird way to life live.

I mean this year was supposed to be a complete rebuild and yet, here we are, in our toughest 5 game stretch with a 3-0 start on the cusp of being ranked again with a team some people on this board said wouldn’t have 20 wins. It was literally supposed to be a throw away year and yet, we crushed Xavier. Won on the road. Beat a power league team and are playing our best basketball rolling into the next 2 games.

I can tell you a few things right now that are absolutely true. 1. Mick can coach 2. Mick can develop teams 3. Mick develops players 4. Mick wins 5. Mick evaluates talent better then those who get paid to evaluate talent.

Jarron is star, Keith will follow, Logan will follow him, and Samari Curtis will follow after. Program has far from peaked and as of right now, I’d say these guys know exactly who they are and that’s the most important thing in basketball

Should probably actually read the posts. Everyone is happy, but people using this game as an example of how great jj is and broome isn't and 3pt % is insane because x wasn't good, might as well used arkansas pine bluff.

But great win, i hate x and now i dont have to hear their mouths for another year. Steele seemed overwhelmed with the game and turns out he eats his skyline with just noodles and cheese... no chili, messed up.

All I've heard all week was that X has better talent than UC. Now it's they have a depleted roster and are trash. Which is it?

Xavier was averaging over 80 a game and were held to 47.

The tourney doesn't prove shit. It's a crap shoot match-up. Regular season success, conference championships determine how good a team is.

This is a good team that has potential to grow. Xavier is a good team with some major flaws. We beat (destroyed) a good team. Good grief -- enjoy it.

Xavier is 59 kenpom and APB is 339. Literally everything you say is invalidated on this one fundamental misconception of college basketball.

Who said x has better talent? And that's ALL you've heard... I doubt that's accurate. ALL you've heard all week was x has better talent? nothing else...Talk about exagerating... you've lost all credibility.

I've downloaded the game from synergy and spliced it as 1 file.

IF any one wants to download it, or watch it from my dropbox link, its in the link below.

Please critique and tell us how bad Mick is.. And How when we inevitably lose like all teams do (Gonzaga just lost on a neutral court today) you can say you told us so.

OR you can just re-watch it.. and enjoy kicking the shit out of a Xavier team who has 4 Top 100 players to our 1.

Xavier has 5 4 star players, 4 of which are top 100 guys. We have 1 top 100 guy.

In the next two games, will be playing teams with 5 star talent and 4 star talent that is 8+ deep on both teams.

LIterally Mick is sending out a team of 10 3 star players to play teams with a new full rotation of top 100 guys. IF we win any of these next 2 its huge testament to Mick Cronin and his coaching ability.

BUT i'm sure you find some kind of excuse.

I'm still gushing.

Jenifer was awesome. KW was awesome. JC was awesome. Nsosme was awesome. Tre Scott was awesome.

Guys, it was awesome. Enjoy it!
Couldn't agree more had a great time and still enjoying it. Guys the UC Bearcats Football and Basketball are the best sports value in this city. Better Recognize!!!!!!!

Honestly....I'm not a huge Cronin fan AND I'm not a big fan of Jenifer (well I think he gives his all I just think he lacks talent and size).

But I have no idea how anyone can be anything but happy after that game. It was glorious.
