I go back and forth on this game. On the one hand, I think there's no way UC loses at home, right? Especially with how poorly xavier plays on the road? It should be that simple.
But history and the recent trend of the team certainly suggest anything but simplicity. You fear Xavier having the freak shooting night like they did a year ago, or the scenario in which they just want it more than the Bearcats.
The crowd has got to bring it tomorrow night and the players need to be fired up, but not get carried away, similar to the UCONN game.
Winning this game can go a long way I think.

I agree with this 10000%

I attended the Tulane game and man there was just no energy in the crowd. Even before tip off the crowd just seemed dead. And I believe the attendance was over 12,000.

Not sure if was the opponent or the early afternoon tip or what.

Now obviously I know it will be better during the Crosstown Shootout but lets see if we as fans can bring a little more oomph tomorrow night!!!

So, like, is Sanders gonna be the glue here or what?
Generally if he has a good game we do well. Other indicators are who wins the battle of the boards and takes care of the basketball. It would also be nice to hit a few shots.

If Susan Boyle and Pat(from SNL) had a kid. It would look like Matt Stainbrook

My prediction for the game.

With 30 seconds to go in the game and after Caupain had fouled out because he was left in to pick up his third foul because Cobb started the game.. The Cats are trailing 61-59. The clock is running as Cobb brings the ball up the court. Dee Davis is guarding him and reaches in and deflects the ball away. Davis gets to the ball and heads down court. He is met by KJ who steals the ball back and races to the 3 point line and just gets off a shot that swishes through the net giving the Cats a 62-61 victory. Lol!!!!

Actually if the Cats come out on top under any circumstances I will be a happy man. Just a reminder I will be at Mio's around 1700 hrs. I will the nervous greyheaded old man telling everyone Cobb should not start because of foul trouble. I will also have a very nice looking women with me who I have tricked into agreeing to marry me.

No way, it clanks off the rim

Throw everything out in this game. History shows us its not always about talent. When you think it'll be close it isn't. When you think it'll be a blow out its close. It's the hardest game of the year to pick.

I think X will initially pack it in and see if UC can make shots. I also think they will play inside out to see if they can get the UC bigs in foul trouble.

Two big match ups to me. Clark/Reynolds and Shaq or Sanders/Bluiett. The other thing is who is going to have an odd guy step up. Will it be a Deberry, Morman or a O'Mara or Macura? I think these three areas will decide this game.

Clark against Reynolds interesting. I'll start Ellis at 4 this game.

Lol. Nice.

UC is going to play zone so who starts for Xavier is meaningless. Now with Moore suspended that means you'll see Shaq at the 4 more than before but that is it. Don't understand why UC fans are so clueless about their own team. Do you guys even watch the games??
