LD better be ready to act in this game. If the zone is getting torched, he better bail on it. If they go on a run, he better use a timeout to stop it. He has said that he's learned from these things. Tomorrow he needs to prove it. If we lose tomorrow, we'll be 10-7 under Davis. If we are worried about our body language now, just imagine how much worse it'll be @Houston this weekend. This is it.

I totally agree, LD HAS to step up his coaching this game. Thank god this game is at home and not there with the how the team is reeling. I'm looking for a big contribution out of Mormon and Ellis tonight
 
If Troy continues to slowly dribble the ball past half court and waste the first 15 seconds of the shot clock, I might have to check into the hospital...
 
UC was closed today. The students better be rocking tonight. If I was still a student I would have started boozing. They better be craaazy.

I swear our players better play with some controlled emotion and fire. Show some intensity!

Nah too much on line. We always speed up pace against big boys. Besides he better be ready to roll because x going speed game up rather he like it or not.
 
whenever Ellis or Clark get defensive rebound tonight I'll let them start break. Don't even waste 5sec getting ball to guard. No way stainbrook could keep up with either one. Run fat ass up and down court all night.

you can force a team to play slow. you take your 35 seconds every possession and wear their legs down. then you make sure everybody is back to stop the transition game.

Also xavier is 93rd in tempo, they are just efficient on offense.



(of course this game can always go in any direction)

standing around doing nothing on d for 35 seconds is a break not a workout. We're standing around 30seconds, would probably make sense if we motioned ENTIRE shot clock. Only way we win tonight is by running.
 
Reynolds is who scares me. I'm making my final prediction, UC 66-62. Once again I will go back to this...the match ups in the post, turnovers, rebounding and who has an unsung hero. I'm hoping Deberry, Shaq or Morman can come up big.

Jeff, I am going to the game and I am a nervous wreck about it. Its always in the back of my head that X will going to embarrass us on our home floor. Our lack of emotion and detachment from the shootout series in general makes me nervous.

Well it needs to stop. As long as we are in this conference this is going to be an important game for us. xavier will probably be the 4th best team we play this year, the team needs the win.
 
There is an excellent article in ESPN.COM about Mick and LD. I can't post it right now but if someone can it is a great read. Really shows how much this staff respects Mick Cronin and how bad they want to win for him.

Bingo. That's why you start DeBerry and Ellis. put Ellis on Reynolds and we win that matchup.
