Cincinnati, Duke, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State and West Virginia are in the mix. As well as BC, Pitt.
Top 3 is West Virginia, tOSU, and UC. Visiting Cincy this weekend, even though he recently committed to WVU.
There is new information out about Latwan. I don't know what is considered premium so I won't share it on the message board but I found out from another site.
My question would be if he will play offense or defense here. He is a little short for a safety (still would start next year). I would play him as a Percy Harvin type of WR/RB.
Top safety recruit Latwan Anderson, who committed to West Virginia but chose not to sign in February as he explored other options, is now headed to Miami, Kristian Dyer reports on SportsIllustrated.com.
Anderson cast his lot with the Mountaineers in January at the U.S. Army All-American Bowl but had been wavering almost ever since. He scheduled a trip to USC but never went to Los Angeles. West Virginia kept trying to hold onto the Glenville, Ohio, product but to no avail. He made an official visit to Miami last weekend.
"I felt that all things were equal between West Virginia and Miami," Anderson told SI.com. "The only difference was the football. In my opinion, Miami is far and away closer to winning conference and national championships than West Virginia."
The LA saga may not be over. Latwan is acutally on a track scholorship at The U. He has officially left the football team and rumor is that he is looking to transfer.
He would NOT have to sit out next season because he didnt't play this year for the football team and was not on scholorship.
I would call him and see if he wanted to be a WR/RB/KR/PR for us. I would use him on offense and get the ball in his hands. Unless he wants to be a Saftey.
He did visit UC. He is an elite talent but has serious maturity issues that are starting to be seen.
I dont think he goes to WVU because he made some comments about their program that would end any chances there. I doubt he goes to another ACC school. No way Tressel takes him on.
We may be a good option if he does look to transfer.
Here's the bad news.. He doesn't have assoc. degree and would have to go JC and complete that before enrolling in the winter qtr. He's a 2012 player if we ever get him at all. Powers that be will not confirm his committment.
