Yes.
Teague's father was quoted as saying, "It helps that situation" regarding Pitino's uncertainty of returning to Louisville.
I took this to mean that there is more than one situation with Pitino. At the least, the talk of Pitino leaving Louisville was considered by Teague.
Of course, it doesn't help that our fans are calling for Mick's head. Then again, out athletic director came out and gave Mick a vote of confidence (which he should because we've improved every year).
I'll be curious when the "pay sites" received Teague's "Final 3."
In my opinion, Mick and UC are Teague's # 1.
Rumor has it Teague will anounce in an All Star game next weekend.
Also heard that Purdue and Indiana were cut off his list and his final three are Uk, U of L and UC.
I had read that on a rivals mainpage site. Given that you talked to his dad recently I am sure you are correct. Thank you for you input. I will be interested to see what happens. SO he will not be at boo williams?
Boo Williams is an AAU event, and that is where Teague is expected to be next weekend. The list seems to have been narrowed, but all his dad would confirm is that Ohio State and Wake have backed off and are out of the mix. I'll be at Boo, and will have the full court press on watching him play and getting his thoughts on the situation next weekend...
Marquis Teague is getting serious about making his college decision. The No. 1 rated 2011 point guard from Indianapolis told InsideTheVille.com Friday that he has narrowed his list down to three schools and plans to announce his decision next weekend. InsideTheVille.com has the latest from Teague.
Chad, do you think Marquis could commit at the tournament?
I was at several events last year where he was expected to commit to UL and it didn't happen, so it's far from a sure thing. This is a BCL plug. lol. If it does happen I'll be there to cover it first hand...
Do you believe the rumors are true in that the negativity surrounding the program and more specifically Mick have hurt UC?
Yes, the negativity has hurt UC's recruiting. Think about it, 3 or 4 people out of 11,000 were holding up fire Mick signs at the Villanova game. If you are Teague and at the game and see the signs and you want to play for Mick, it gives you cause for worry.
I believe Teague is UC's to lose and the negativity may have caused UC to lose him. Hopefully Mick and Mike Thomas can convince Teague that Mick is going to be UC's coach for a long time.

No offense ralph, but the question was not directed to you... we already know your sentiments on the topic in question. I was looking for another point of view.
Ralph appears to be close to the program and his sentiment appears to be spot on. Additionally, there was a request on BCN two moths ago that all the negative rhetoric was having an adverse efffect on recruiting. This request came from Todd Cunningham at BearcatLair. So more than one source has expressed concern about the Fire Mick crowd hurting the long term success of the program.
Do you believe the rumors are true in that the negativity surrounding the program and more specifically Mick have hurt UC?
The concern Todd talked about came directly from the Teague camp so it obviously had some level of impact. From the sound of things it has been worked through, but it was/is one factor...
