Hope Strickland watched Batts play today, that's a big man I would want to model my game after if I were him.

this is very exiting news! words can't even describe how excited I am to watch this kid play

How in the world does ESPN still have him rated at a 2 star when the letter says you are being recognized as one of the top 15 players in your class?

You would think it would have updated when Jermaine Lawrence went down to a 4 star since he has seemed to have had a lot of success this season so far. I guess we will see when the final rankings come out. I could see all of our guys moving up though especially Strickland and Morman they both seem to be getting a good amount of attention.

Strickland is at a prep school, they do not rank 5th year players. So no.

Why wouldn't they rank 5th year players, they are still in the recruiting class? are you 100% sure of that? ESPN still has a 72 grade for him, he is no longer a post on ESPN, but there is no way he is only a 72 if he is on the USA U22 team he has to atleast be in the high 80's i would think.

If you go to the USA basketball official page http://www.usabasketball.com/ they do not list a U22 team, does anyone know if this is affiliated with the official USA basketball?

I think its through the Georgia Elite program. That was on the letter he posted a picture of. It's not a part of USA basketball (the official one) but it's a real team that guys like Kevin Durant and Rudy Gay played for.

Mick on 700: "I told Jamaree he is coming here to score. He is a low post scorer with great hands"

Mick has the tendency to overhype recruits, so I will wait and see. It would be awesome if he could have a Devontae Gardner like impact as a big man that can come off the bench and score as a change of pace to an athlete like Gaines or Nyarsuk.

He is supposedly playing for the USA U22 team (as long as it works with his schedule of coming to UC). Based on this fact, I think it is safe to say that the kid has some skills. He would have been a very highly recruited kid if not for the injury. Hopefully it is not an injury that hampers his career here at UC.
