BearcatTalk

Help Support BearcatTalk:

He is supposedly playing for the USA U22 team (as long as it works with his schedule of coming to UC).

From yesterday:

Jamaree Strickland ‏@CaliSwag_510: leaving for Paris, France tomorrow to represent you and your family on the hoop court. excited. #teamUSA

Hope we'll be able to find some updates on how well he does in the tournament.

Not listed, but Siena's O.D. Anosike (led NCAA D-1 in rebounding in each of the past two seasons) is also on the team (http://www.sienasaints.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/032613aaa.html), along with Iona's Momo Jones (22.6 ppg this year--played first two years at Arizona). Don't know who the 15th player is.

How on earth did Jalen Kendrick get an invite? I didn't realize this team included college players. That should provide some good experience. Also interesting Chris Perry is going since I thought I remember he had some choice words for UC after he committed to USF. From I can gather they are similar players as well.

I think this is an under 22 competition so some college players would be eligible.

It has a spot on the website for videos and live action, it will be nice to see Jamaree in action.

Good call--didn't see the live action option at first. Probably won't be able to watch those 9 a.m. French time games, but their second game is at a watchable time. Hopefully, they'll put up some good videos, too.

For those who want to see Strickland play, they play at 10 this morning.

The "Live Stream" has said offline for me all night anyone else have that problem or have a solution to fix that?

I have the same problem, I don't think it has been fixed yet. Hopefully it gets fixed soon. Has Jamaree tweeted how he's done so far?

He replied and said they were going to play last night at 3 then I kept getting the offline thing and still am talk about being bummed out. But yeah he hasn't tweeted anything about how the games have gone yet but he usually doesn't tweet how he does.

I think when the tourney is over, they post videos, so maybe we can still get to see some highlights, even if they can't fix the offline thing.

Looks like he only got to play 5 minutes and had almost the same numbers as Chris Perry who played 15 minutes. Not sure what was going on with the playing time.

Still early in the tourney, maybe they were trying to see what they want to do for the rest of the tourney.

Video of parts of the final vs. Russia:

Looks like he started (though, the video only showed one play of the start of the game). He's back in from 2:10-4:34, including a dunk around 3:55.

Looking at his new twitter account, he says his leg hurts, he is going to the doctor, and has a full leg cast. Not what we want to hear.
