Wow. That comes out of no where man. I liked Ellis, especially from an athletic stand point. I hope he has improved his skills. His length is crazy.

Exactly samething I've always said. Beginning of signing period I wanted a floor general and a rim protector I got both with these two guts. PG like Cobb can carry a team like us far in tournament. Call me crazy but I see a little Chris Paul in Cobb game.

Conditioning,practices and effectiveness will determine who gets the nod. If I'm any returning player on this team I wouldn't step foot on campus without being ready to go to war for a starting spot. That goes for anybody on the team.

I don't want to sound like I am building anyone up after the fact so I won't. But whether we got Martin or SURPRISE Ellis...I do like getting experience for this year because we need it.

After watching Cobb play on video he was instantly the guy I wanted over the others. Call it the eye test I guess. He has nice handles (nice crossover), has a great pull up J, and can knock down from long range. I heard can shoot FT's as well. Seemed to have a nice floater in the lane with left or right hand.

I am very satisfied with what we have right now. We have a lot of depth at each position now and a lot of interchangable parts. May the best men win!!

I don't mind this commit. I think the staff realized Stewart wasn't a sure thing. We needed a guard to replaced JDIII, so it isn't a wasted scholarship.

Strickland is already in school and will only be a freshman. That wouldn't make since unless he got injured again. Anyway Ellis is more of a power forward, not a center like DeBerry and Strickland.
