LOL, I've never seen it take weeks for guy to learn basketball plays. We have 3-4 set offensive plays, play man to man 99% of game, so I guess it takes weeks learning our press.

If it is so easy, then how come guys don't ever come in and dominate their first year in the program?

It isn't just learning offensive plays. It's a completely different game he has to adjust to.

I think Cobb has a chance to be some instant offense off the bench. Not sure why some are forcing him into the starting SG role.
I'm not that big of a TC fan. I know he was only 17 at times in season, but more often than.not he looked scared and he looked at Mick way too much for direction. Im always rooting for city guy so KJ has SG on lock by default to me.

Mick don't give guys opportunity to dominate. Yancy, Vaughn, SK, and Stephenson had opportunity to play and did for THEIR standards. Its really all about opportunity in sports. You don't have to dominate to play key role for your team. If Mick gave KJ more PT in regular season I don't think its no doubt in nobody mind that we would've went further.

I think Caupain will be an NBA prospect by the time his career here is over.

You seriously speak like you have more experience than Coach K. You have to remember a lot of these kids have probably never played in a structured offense in their lives until college. Some kids just aren't going to come in and grasp a college offense in a week. Some will, some won't. From our current roster, I'd say Sanders and Johnson probably are capable - it probably helps they played at good high schools.

Hell, Octavius Ellis didn't even know what a pivot foot was his first time here.

I would love to know how you know we only have 3-4 set offensive plays.

It's also just not knowing your plays, but how to make certain reads based off what the defense does. That takes time and reps to be able to fully grasp the concepts and be able to do it without hesitation.

I personally don't think our sets are bad at all. It comes down to shooting with confidence and finishing. But that's for a different discussion....

SIZE and the fact that he not probably the most athletic. He looks pretty quick and plays smart so grades shouldn't been issue. Main reason though probably is size. Looking at his videos I have him starting over TC as of right now and I'm a HUGE TC fan. Plays with the swagger and toughness I like. I don't see him being timid around other players on his level.

So you've gone from a HUGE TC fan to not that big of a TC fan in the matter of days. You are the most ignorant poster I have ever seen on any message board in the history of message boards.

Yeah sometimes when all you do is try to one up people's comments, you start to forget the things you've said. I'm starting to see more and more why these things keep coming about.

Bulldog01 has over 450 posts in 2 months, most of them unreadable, and has accounted for at least 3 times as many as others respond to his idiocy. But as he says, ratings are up. Not sure who does the ratings, probably someone who has an eye for talent, like Bulldog01.

saying same thing just using different words to get my point across. I like TC but I'm a bigger fan of Cobb. Is it that big of a deal? Give your wife her panties back and stop nitpicking at everything. Y'all talk about bulldog more the players.

is it against the law as fan to like a player more than another player but like them both. I'm a huge fan of TC but for next year I'm not to huge on him starting. Am I wrong for that?

I had a eye to see when you go on the big boys message boards its all type off discussions going on. I've been post watching on here and bearcatnews for 5yrs now and it stayed dead even.on game days. I'm cool with being the villian as long as everybody respect each other. Recruits most definitely read these boards so to see us discuss them so much makes them feel like rockstars.

I don't know. Just slow down. Lol. It seems like you have so many comments hanging out there that it'd almost be impossible for it not to look like you're contradicting yourself on some of them. It's hard to keep track of what you're real actual thoughts on each player are.

Shaq really needs to develop into a better shooter / finisher. If that happens he could be very tough to stop. As Mick once said, it doesn't matter if you can jump over the moon if you can't finish

Good article on why he committed and why the coaches wanted him.

I like everything about his offensive game. Long range shooter with a quick trigger...can break down his man and he can pass the ball. He's got a nice floater with left and right hand in the lane and he's got a nice mid range pull up J. Oh...and he can shoot FT's.

If he can play D and rebound a little...and has the right attitude...we have added a nice piece to the puzzle IMO.

IDK if this has been mentioned. But this game was against Chipola. Sam Cassel JR who is going to Uconn and Torian Graham whos going to Houston. Cobb will have already played against both so I like that he is or could be familiar with them. Cinmeon Bowers and Carlos Morris are also on that team and going D1.

Cobb only missed 5 shots in this game and scored 30 points. Thats pretty impressive
