Despite the disagreements I've had with him regarding recruiting, I'm with Gotcha on this one.

JJ, what are you talking about? He said he likes the kid and it'd be great to have a tall point guard. He didn't say he would be a star; you can't teach height. You started an argument about Biggie's injury for no reason.

Because you're my boy Scheids. Long, athletic PG's are difference makers in college bball especially in a press or at the top of the zone.

Just saying dont make assumptions. It is natural tendency for people, including myself, to make assumptions. Once I realized that he didn't just like him because he was tall, I was okay with it. Just wanted more info before I moved forward and wanted to encourage others to do the same. Tall can be both good and bad in the case of a point guard, but as you said, you cannot teach height. Hopefully he still has the handles, vision, and quick first step needed to be an effective pg. As far as scouts and videos go, it seems like they all like his intangibles and skill set, so when you add that to his height, he could be one hell of a player.

Dont know if I agree with this assessment at all. Who were the best pg's in college? Craft, Burke, Larkin, Canaan, Kabongo,P Jackson, P Pressey? They are all 6' or under MCW and Lorenzo Williams probably best big pg's.

Don't forget Siva, he is tiny. Height can help, but you can be a good small pg also.

It all depends on what system you run (especially on defensive). A tall, long PG is very important to Cuse because of their zone. If a 6'6" PG has a post up game (or can learn one) that would be a huge advantage offensively.

What??? How many 6'6 PG's are there? Of course most of them will be short because there are not many 6'6 PGs!! I have no idea what you're saying? I'm simply saying these freak athletes are big time prospects and "can" dominate. Of course most of the big time PG's will be short because majority of PG's are short.

BINGO!! I would also argue a 6'6 PG in a press would be a nightmare. All the "deflections" they could cause and possibly layups.

I like tall PG's, too.

But only if they can legitimately play.

Just because they're tall doesn't make them a playa.

So if there are good tall, long pg's they would be in the NBA right. Last night I watched Nate Robinson and Mike Conley, neither tall. Steph Curry, Chris Paul,Tony Parker Ty Lawson Kyrie Irving etc... I don't see your point, if tall pg's dominate where are they in the NBA/College? Few to no tall pg's anywhere. Height isn't always the answer, even in the pro's (obviously). This guy is no Magic or even Anfernee.

Yea you're right. John Wall 6-4, Jason Kidd 6-4 ,Tyreke Evans 6-6..they're no good.

Uh that's five studs right there Bater.

How many teams are there? Is Rose in playoffs, how about Evans. Is parker not a stud? How about Chris Paul? I see small guards dominating in playoffs and ncaa, tall ones are hard to come by and good ones wont be in college long.

Fact is there are very few tall stud pg's in college or NBA. 90% are 6' quick guards.

Deron Williams, Kyrie Irving, Jason Kidd and Steve Nash in their primes, Tony Parker, etc. None of them are really tall, just very good, quick pg's. I don't even watch or care for the NBA, but I agree with what you are saying.

Deron Williams 6'3
Kyrie Irving 6'3
Jason Kidd 6'4
Steve Nash 6'3

I'd hardly call them 6 foot or under guys. Of the 30 teams in the NBA, 18 of them start a PG that is 6'3 or taller. Yea some of them rely on their speed and quickness, but it is not correct to say that most of the NBA starts 6 foot tall or smaller PG's.

Never said under 6 foot, that was someone else. Just saying there aren't lots of oversized pg's (6'5,6'6,etc.). Plus, the NBA is garbage and they don't play any real basketball until the playoffs, and even that is fake. But anyways, I hope this kid we are recruiting is good, we really need a good pg. Cash was very solid for all that he went through, but we need an actual distributor.
