Cincinnati is the most recent program showing interest in 6-foot-8/2015/PF/Derek Pardon of Cleveland, Ohio (VASJ HS).

It seems like Mick is starting to go after more Ohio kids, if so that's a smart move, Ohio has loads of talent especially in Cleveland and Dayton

Love this!...

Cross posting from what I said referring to Bragg in another thread...

Honestly, I didn't like Bragg that much live. He has good touch for a player with his size, but his teammate Derek Pardon (6'8) is a way more aggressive post player that actually uses his size and scores on the block. Neither one of them is the leading scorer on that team either. I don't think Bragg has enough handle to be your super tall wing player and I haven't seen him show enough interest in low post scoring to think he'll be a true post. If he can become an elite shot-maker like Payne for Mich St, it could work but I am not in love with that style of player.

I'm sure those who do the ratings know way more about this than I do, but I do think a certain amount of it is there are just not many 6'10 guys who make jump shots hanging around so they automatically get ranked very highly.

Watching Pardon in Columbus, he is strong enough and physical enough to play the post out of the gates. He is more of a true post player than we've used in a few years. He will be limited as far as stepping out and hitting jump shots, but he had good touch around the basket and went strong to the basket when he got it deep. I would compare him to an Eric Hicks type player with a little more skill with the ball in his hands. He doesn't look quite as impressive physically, but he is plenty strong and was aggressively fighting for every inch of position.
