Yep....Alex Kline‏@TheRecruitScoop8h
RT @Edgar_Walker: 2015 Bishop O'Connell (VA) forward Leroy Butts was offered by Cincinnati today.

Saw a video on Rivals where he named a top 5 and said he knows where he's going to school, but won't announce till his senior year. He named UC, Tennessee, Syracuse, and Rutgers. We are his only offer so far so I'm not sure what to think of this situation.

Liked 2015 fd Leroy Butts. Pushing 6-8 & growing. Funky left-hand game. Favoring #Cincy. #WVU & #DePaul also on him hard #uasummerjam2k13

Yeah I think we are in a good spot here. Wish he would make a decision early rather than waiting till his senior year.

Edgar Walker @Edgar_Walker: Cincy head coach Mick Cronin is courtside for @DCAssault 16U 2nite. Bearcats have offered 2015 F Leroy Butts and G John Davis #UAA #DMVHoops

According to zags Butts has made a college choice but won't tell till May his final 4 are UC, Rutgers, DePaul, Miami. He has been a UC lean for awhile but had a good Rutgers visit recently.

Leroy Butts Knows College Choice
SEPTEMBER 24, 2013
Bishop OConnell rising junior Leroy Butts has chosen his college and will inform the public on his mother’s birthday, May 9. Publically, Butts says he is down to Rutgers, Miami, DePaul, and Cincinnati. The DC Assault/DC Premier player describes himself as, “inside-out both rebounding wise and scoring wise.” This is a unique situation, but Butts says, “I know where I want to go and I want to go ahead and get it over with.” Butts says he has already let his school of choice, and all the other schools recruiting him know his decision, “I texted all of them to let them know.” The lengthy 6’7” 190lb Butts says that he has only visited Rutgers, of his finalists. Not really one for a lot of words, he went up last weekend where he says, “I had a real good time.” Butts says that he knows he will win at any of his finalists but the deciding factor was, “academics.” Butts is the 10th best player in the Virginia 2015 class according to Phenom Hoop Report.

Crystal ball is a hunk of crock they crystal ball a kid where ever he visits and then change when he visits a different school he has been a UC lean for a year no reason for me to think otherwise.

Where did you get your information about Butts being a UC lean for a year? This is the first I have heard of that. I'm not sure he's even visited UC, has he?

He has not visited UC, But we are the only ones to offer so far I believe. Which will obviously change soon. But then again the article says he has informed all interested schools of his choice already. And if thats the case maybe it is UC and other schools arent going to offer becuase he has already informed them.

He has stated in some articles over the past year or so UC was his leader. The Maryland 247 guys also said a week ago, before his Rutgers visit, that we appeared to be the team to beat.

Per Zagsblog:

Leroy Butts knows where he wants to go to college.

But he won’t share it with everyone else until May 9, the birthday of his mother, Monique Williams.

“I know where I’m going,” he told SNY.tv, adding that his final list includes Rutgers, Miami, Cincinnati and DePaul.

The 6-foot-8, 195-pound power forward from Arlington (Va.) Bishop O’Connell visited Rutgers this past weekend for the football game with Arkansas, along with numerous other young prospects, including Isaiah Briscoe.

“It was great, I had a fun time,” said Butts, the Rivals No. 114 prospect in the Class of 2015.

Asked what he’s looking for in a school, he said: ”I’m looking for a great education and to win a championship.”

Asked what skillset he will bring, he said, “Scoring, rebounding, athleticism.”

“My options are open,” Butts told SNY.tv Wednesday. “I’m open about my choice. I’m not announcing my commitment date, either.”

Great education and a championship? He should probably take Rutgers and Depaul off that list.
