Jeff, what have you heard about the current roster ? If we are looking at 2013 players there must be room? Every year around now Mick does his player evaluations.

Mick has always said he is never done recruiting. If the right player comes along, I am sure Mick could find a way for him to be on the roster. That said, I have a feeling the 2013 class is finished. Of course, things could always change.

Hearing #Xavier leads for O'Connell PF Junior Etou, who will likely decide within the next week

Will be laughing my ass off when they sign that 40, I mean, 18 year old kid and he is ruled ineligible. Another fishy character Chris Mack is going after, look how well it has worked for him in recent years......

isnt the guy 21 years old? isnt there a rule in high school athletics that you cant be older than 19?

If he would have committed to UC yesterday, he would have been ruled ineligible today

I believe it is different state by state but age doesn't mean you are ineligible in college.

Tells me no other school wanted him.

Not true.

“It came down to Rutgers, Xavier and Washington,” DC Assault coach Damon Handon told SNY.tv. “Rutgers got in late but once Eddie Jordan got the job that pretty much sealed the deal for Rutgers.

“Eddie coached him on our 17 and under team last year. Junior played for him. He loved playing for Coach Jordan.”

I understand age doesnt make you ineligible. That was just a NCAA always hates on UC joke.

But 21 years old and played on a 17 and under team? How is this guy not going to get in any trouble for lying about his age like that?

Yea if I was 21 in high school, Id be an All Star too

That is why many schools backed off. Room for growth is limited if he is already 21. I would be shocked if he is a force in college.
