I gotta say that both Cheikh and Guyn have looked much better this year so far and they both play key positions/roles that we are going to need this year. Every time Guyn came in last year, I closed my eyes and hoped that he wouldn't do anything dumb. This year, he has continued to play good d and has hit some 3's/driven down the lane and gotten a few buckets. He also has put on some muscle/filled out a little. Cheikh looks like a completely different player-blocking shots, rebounding (sometimes, at least), scoring a few buckets, I don't think he will mess anything up. Both look like they will be solid role players this year.

Both have taken steps forward, though Guyn has a ways to go before he's a point guard. In retrospect, Cashmere Wright was a HUGE get for us. In fact, that class pulled Mick's bacon out of the fire. Had it not been for the leg injuries, I question how good he could be. Even with them, he's been a great player. Guyn right now can score, he has some bad habbits and does things that are ill advised but I think he'll be pretty good next season.

Mbodj with improved athleticism, has been very impactful. The Campbell game, he was put in a bad spot a few times by the teams poor defense. Mbodj has even shown signs of offensive effectiveness, I really had not expected that. His blocking is nice, I think he'll get better as the season wears on. I also like that we have Nyrasuk behind him. I'm curious where that guy will be next year.

I think Jeremiah Davis has shown some nice improvement as well. Someone has to step up among Rubles, Cheikh, Jackson, or anyone and be a dependable scorer. This team needs a fourth scorer and it needs to be points in that midrange, low post area.
