Nope. I'm talking about after making a mistake.

if you were paying attention to what you were saying, you would have noticed that you took it even stupidly beyond that to a broad application about smiling on the court.

and for ****'s sake, it's a grimacing smile.

Nope. I'm talking about after mistakes. Have been the whole time.

Yes Waite. I am. Show me a guy who smiles, and I'll show you a guy who loses. It's about the level of intensity and confidence. The only time he should be smiling on the court is when he clinches a conference title. I'd be willing to bet that Evans and Washington won't smile a single time after a mistake.

just gonna quote this again for reference.

it feels like some of you guys come up with the dumbest shit you can think of just for the sake of arguing.

maybe we can start judging confidence and competitiveness by facial hair next.

I'll say this one last time. I am talking about a guy smiling after making a mistake. Saying the only time you should smile is after clinching a conference title is hyperbole. Goodness.

I don't know that I'd put Troy in a category of epic competitors, but I certainly never felt like he had anything less than 100% invested into the team and every game.

To me, often the one most invested in the games was Ellis. Shaq cared about winning a TON as well.

Gary, Deberry, Evans seem more shy in demeanor, not that theres anything wrong with that, but I expect the vocal leaders next year to be Washington, KJ and Troy.

It's interesting that you use Ellis because he often looked angry after mistakes and then compounded the situation by doing something stupid.

I really think this is a non issue IMHO

The team was 1-0 this year when Quad had a man bun
21-11 when he didnt

I understand not everyone will agree with me. But thank you for at least understanding the point instead of twisting words.

Show me a picture of him smiling during the game right after a critical a mistake.

Btw I get your point. Don't act like you don't get mine, bc I know you do.

I honestly dont. I played sports my entire life. I specifically remember a time playing catcher, I picked up the ball after a bunt and threw it over the first basemens head. It was my bad, I smiled because I felt embarrassed and that is how I handled the situation. I absolutely hated it, We lost the game by 1 run. But you cant tell me because I smiled I wanted to win less than anyone else on the team

Well I'm sorry you had to go through that :(.

I guess I just attribute a nervous smile with being unsure of yourself. But that's just me. I airballed a game tying 3 once...believe me, I was not smiling. I can only speak for myself though I guess.

when someone quotes your exact words, you claim that your words are being twisted.

when someone criticizes an outrageous point you make, it's just a difference of opinions.

when you say something even you acknowledge as stupid, backtrack and claim it was not sincere.

am i missing anything else from the jacobkdoyle forum playbook? maybe another ban of madman for not coloring inside the lines in this internet toddler daycare?

you've spent the past hour speaking about someone else.

He also seemed the most aware of the crowd given any circumstance, especially at home on a long run. His 'emotional meter' to me seemed to be an 11/10 most games, almost every home game. Sometimes he'd be emotionless on the road and that caused issues for him I think. Heart on his sleeve thats for sure.

To me, it was extremely valuable last year given the relatively low emotional level of the other forwards/centers.

Everyone else seems to understand that I'm referring to a certain situation.

And I'm sorry that you've gotten yourself banned before. That's not my doing. But I can see you have a vendetta against me bc of it. So I'll just know from here on out that I can take your criticisms with a grain of salt. Thank you for exposing these feelings.

I've laughed after mistakes playing at the collegiate level. Giving up a 0-2 base hit, walking a guy I shouldn't. It was never a laugh as in I didn't give a shit, more so a laugh like come on what the hell are you doing. If I had gotten pissed off (gotten in my own head) I'd have compounded the mistake by more than likely making more. I don't see it as an issue. Everyone reacts to things differntly. There were many times where Troy made a hell of a play and give us a little flex and yell. I don't know about the rest of you but I miss bearcat hoops already. Going to be a long off season.

Jon Lester laughed when Hamilton hit a home run off him. It was obviously a mistake because noone gives up hits to hamilton, let alone home runs
