I like that we are 2nd in the country in assists and 3rd in rebounds. I know who we have played but still. FT's and TO's are not good but we did at least address one of them in the last game and we know TO's are not going to be tolerated at high levels. We could probably lower our fouls too.

I really don't understand the FT thing. Cronin said we are working on it. But at some point I guess you have to change the way you are working on it. Repetition is probably not the answer. All teams have repetition. We have to change the routine of some of these guys to make it more comfortable I think.

We've only had 20 TOs last 2 games. That's perfectly fine.

I don't want to overreact to 3 games of FTs. Broome won't shoot 50% and Cumberland better not shoot 60%. A couple good games and we'll be right back on track.

Yeah, I don’t think there is much a coach can do for free throws. I’m sure they practice it. Guys either hit them or not. Their starting 5 should be good at free throws.

I feel like Cumberland struggled last year with FT's too. Hopefully it doesn't continue. I think he rushes when at the line. Doesn't seem to have a good routine, but that's just me over analysing.

My comments on FT's are more of a Cronin era thing...rather than a 3 game trend. But we have better shooters now I guess so maybe we can reset this year and hope for new results. However, Cumberland only hit 65% last year. Jenifer is a 65% career guy as well. Those are numbers reserved for bigs...our guards should be able to make 75%+.

Here's an odd stat: Keith Williams is 12 for 17 (71%) on 2-point field goals, and 0% (0-8 from 3, 0-5 from the line) on everything else.

It should be noted that 2 freshmen are really bringing the entire team average down. Outside of Nsoseme and Williams, the team is better than 71% from the line, which is fine, and most every individual is at least shooting OK. Those two are a combined 1 for 11 form the line, however, and will likely be nowhere near the floor during crunch time until they figure it out.

He was 0-5 in exhibition from 3 as well...not that anyone is counting...lol. His shot is funky but it looks like his mid range is hitting and obviously layups are a good idea.

Is this odd or Is he not a good shooter?

He has to be better than 0-fer. Hell, I'm pretty confident I could at least hit a free throw...& give me 8 tries at a 3, and who knows? One might luck in! (on a bank?)

It might be nice if Eliel Nsoseme could sink a FT once in a while. Diarra looks decent at the line

I still think he’s a good player. He’s shooting will improve still going to have a good career

We have had many wings over the years shooting in the low 30's and even a couple sub 30% shooters from 3. Most of them (if not all) could not drive the ball like Williams can. I just hope he is not a sub 30% kind of guy. I would take low 30's from him with his driving ability.

I think he will get it going and eventually be a 30% plus shooter. Maybe not this year but eventually.

Nsoseme is hopeless on FT. I agree Diarra looks good. He's a good shooter in general. If he learns how to play, look the f out.

Keith Williams is a much better shooter than he has shown both 3 pointers and free throws. In the semi- finals of his league championship he made 9of 10 in the 4 quarter and overtime. I hope he breaks out in the Caymans so everybody gives this a rest. Nsoseme might not make 50 percent of his ft's.

He did make 2-6 in the red and black game. I would be happy if he can shoot that percentage from 3.

I remember Jacob struggled with his shot for the majority of his freshman year until late and he is obviously a good shooter, so hopefully it is just nerves or getting use to the college game.
