Very true. I still don’t know if Trevor was an actual good shooter in practice or it was hype. He was a terrible shooter in game.

Well Trevor is averaging 9.1 points a game at Morgan State, shooting 35% and 31% from 3 and is 67% from the free throw line ... so I would say it’s all hype ....so to give some color , based solely on comparison of averages and shots attempted he’s shooing about as well as Mika Adams Woods who is not a terrible shooter but not a great shooter either.... we all know how bad of a shooting team this bearcat team is.... Trevor would rank around the 5th and 6th range of shooting percentage on this team

Trevor Moore is a career 29.9% 3 point shooter over 234 attempts. He's never shot higher than 31.7% for a season.

He's not a good shooter. He's a career 70% FT shooter which I think these days is a little below average. 202 teams average over 70% FT shooting as a team.

Lots of videos of Dou and Trevor Moore bustin 3’s in an empty gym too. Hopefully he can make em when the lights go on

Agreed. Just first I've seen from him really. He was second highest recruit besides Tari.

I do feel like he may be a better shooting vogt with slower feet. But I guess we will find out.

I think Trevor could shoot it.. watching him pregame he was knock down. Just think game might be a little too big for him.

Spot shooting repetition 3's with your feet set and no defender is a world apart from game day situations. Nice to hear he can at least make them. There will be chances in games (like Mikey has seen recently) to get wide open with your feet set.

You think he will be slower than Vogt? Didn’t think that was possible

Starting to think the returning core could be good in a couple of years if we can keep them on campus. If we just fill some holes and grab some additional talent and defensive stoppers...we can have a shot to win the conference in a couple of years.

It's got some good bones. Keep the 7 Brannen guys for 2 more years and we shouldn't have to focus on too much recruiting other than the 5 spot. Even if we can't land a stud wing player...we should be okay there. Go defense with the next two transfers and fill in with HS talent. Save one roster spot for next year or late developments.

I have seen the question about what makes us think Brannen will do better at recruiting the 5 (and some at the 4)? The first year you grab what's available. Vogt knew the system and Sorolla was mostly a bust because of what Vogt was doing early on (playing time limited). Then you grab Rap and Lakhin. Rap was a mistake for more reasons than one. Can't play two slow guys at the same time. Who knows on Lakhin but he's not the 5 we need...maybe a good stretch 4 over time or backup 5.

So the question becomes did CJB learn anything? I can't imagine he didn't learn more than one thing. If there is no adjustment made this year in recruiting bigs...then he is likely doomed. But my guess is he saw the light (at least some of it) and will adjust accordingly and bring in an athletic big for defense and rebounding. Hopefully two of them!

He's got a great head start if we can keep Tari and play him at the 4. Kills two birds with one stone offense and D. Davenport can back him up at 4 while playing some 3. If we don't get a 5 who can move...Brannen has struck out. Will he strike out? That would be a major surprise to me if he does given the obvious issues we have seen on D this year. It's the missing piece of the puzzle and staring him in the face.

Yeah, he really only missed on 1 recruiting cycle. His first he was really late to the game. But he also got some good players. I understand people want a full starting 5 but it takes time to build these things.

It’s a good starting point but we need more. We need more talent everywhere but mainly bigs and wings.

Not sure how much more talent we are going to get with the current roster makeup on the wing. Certainly we can add value at big (maybe x2). By default we are going to add talent and/or value no matter who we recruit as our roster will not be full. On the wing...value to me...would be another shooter, a defender, or even a ball handler who can get in the lane. Hard to miss there...unless you get a mid major stud and start him and they aren't nearly as good in our conference. I would grab one wing transfer specialist. Then go to HS to fill the roster and hold one over. I would grab at least two bigs whether it's a transfer or HS player.

Who are you taking right now on your roster? Xavier Jr. Kunkel or UC Fr Madsen?

Not even trolling, I like kunkel, he wasn’t good this year. He shot 26% from 3, avg 7 pts, 1 assist, 1 rebound. I think he’s better than that but I don’t think he turns in to an all league guy.

I’m not sure mason does either but he can shoot lights out. That helps a team.

Kunkel has a season of 206 attempts at 38.3%. Ill trust that over a short season with 68 attempts.
