2021-22 Roster

Kunkel has a season of 206 attempts at 38.3%. Ill trust that over a short season with 68 attempts.

I'll give you that but what would Mason shoot in the OVC? McNeal shot .298 his first two years then came in at .157 at UC.

Kunkel is obviously a better shooter than McNeal but the point remains. Cumberland went from 40% to 35%. Maybe Kunkel is just a low 30's guy in a better conference? I'll take MasMad

Right...so do you take a not good coach or a ? mark coach? The jury is still out...but it's also still out on Madsen and Kunkel. Who you got as it stands?

Out of those 2 Im taking the guy with 3 years left, but thats the main reason. I haven't seen enough of Kunkel, but he hasn't been good.

I'd rather have Brannen at this point. Steele isn't going to get better players than what he's had. We can always be optimistic this will be Brannen's worst roster.

When I look at next year, Xavier clearly has a lot of highly rated players. They have the best player from either team in Freemantle. But their highly recruited guys are either being held back by their coach, or were overrated.

I would agree on most of this. So you take Freemantle over Tari? I am not arguing...just wondering what a Soph Tari can do. He's been out of position and also held back with a leash.

Freemantle just put up 16 points and 9 boards in a better conference. I'd take the under on both of those for Tari and you could even give me a few points.

And maybe I'm the only one, but I could see Tari being a good 5. Get him a true stretch 4 that can rebound. He would have so much space to work.

Not even trolling, I like kunkel, he wasn’t good this year. He shot 26% from 3, avg 7 pts, 1 assist, 1 rebound. I think he’s better than that but I don’t think he turns in to an all league guy.

I’m not sure mason does either but he can shoot lights out. That helps a team.

I was REALLY hoping that butler didnt suck an egg at the end of regulation. The look on kunkels face after they overturned the call and he sat on the bench knowing he touched the ball last just made me laugh so hard and put a giant smile on my face. they still lost so the smile remained, but man. I really wanted that kid to question his entire existence. But hey, maybe he still is. silver lining

If you take a look at frosh numbers Tari doesn't look too bad per 40 minutes. Scoring is about equal. Assists, steals, blocks, and rebounds Tari has a big advantage. To's and fouls Tari is not so good. ORTG Freemantle has him.

You aren't the only one but Tari doesn't want to be a 5 and I think that is as clear as day. I wish he would for UC sake.

But I guess that's why this whole conversation seems weird. We are compairing freshman to juniors with Madsen/Kunkel and freshman to sophs in Freemantle/Eason. I would probably take Freemantle right now...but I think Tari explodes next year. Either way Freemantle seems like someone not to bet against.

Tari has much more potential. If we are talking careers if they both played 4 years, I'm taking Sr year Tari all day. Freemantle has the higher floor and lower ceiling.

I would probably agree on ceiling and floor but the floor for Tari is this year unless he transfers.

Is this where we post about the transfer portal?

Kyky Tandy just entered. Earl Timberlake entered yesterday former top 50 recruit from miami.

No idea who we will go after, but the list of transfers is going to be huge and there is talent to be had.

We should be able to find one decent wing who can compete for 20 minutes PT hopefully 6'5+. But pulling in one LEGIT 5 (defender/blocker/rebounder) might not be as easy. Adding shooting depth might not be too hard. Adding a big body just for foul trouble should be fairly easy.

If we can land Spell and decent transfer 5 that might work.

Louisville's Aidan Igiehon to the portal. 6'10 physical freak, former top 60 recruit. Played less than 100 minutes in 2 years combined. Known for a lack of work ethic and low bb IQ.

There are going to be a few raw bigs in the portal. Do we take a chance on one and hope they figure it out?

Tre Mitchell is leaving Umass. 6'9 Sophomore coming off a great season, 4.4 PRPG!.

I'd take either one. Mitchell would be a great complement for Tari. He's already pretty polished with high true shooting percentage, low turnovers and low fouls - the areas Tari is lacking right now.

Igiehon would provide the interior rim protection we've been missing even if he's raw.

Looks like Isaih Moore from St John's is a newer addition to the portal. He's 6'10", a good rebounder with a high true shooting percentage. High foul rate though.

Low bball iq doesn't scream great fit... But yea.

He's definitely good enough to be our starting 5 next season but I've heard rumors of him being a head case.
