I think someone in another thread mentioned that Andy Katz picked UConn and Seth Greenberg picked Cincinnati.

AMERICAN (16)

Dates: Thursday-Sunday, in Orlando.

Top seed: Temple. The best team in the conference most of the year was SMU, but the Mustangs are banned from the postseason – and some late losses opened the door for the Owls to win the regular-season title. But Temple still doesn’t have a fool-proof NCAA résumé, so it had better win some games in Orlando.

Dark horse: Cincinnati. The No. 4 seed draws Connecticut in the quarterfinals and already has beaten the Huskies twice. And the Bearcats got a nice springboard into the postseason by beating SMU on Sunday.

Pomeroy conference rank: Seventh out of 32.

Minutes pick: Cincinnati. Bearcats will guard all day, every day, which means they will be a tough out. If they make enough shots, they’ll cut down the nets.

Heard on the First Preview podcast that UC is +250 and UConn is +300 to win AAC tourney. We are the favorites.

I live in Orlando but have to work today (dammit). If they win I can maybe meet you down there for a beer and the game on Saturday

That'd be awesome. This is my first time in Orlando not being at Disney World ha. I'm at the Hyatt Regency. Very nice hotel, and very large.

Any chance for upsets today?

USF vs Temple
Tulane vs Houston
Memphis vs Tulsa

Memphis just beat Tulsa by 10 about 2 weeks ago. So I think they could potentially knock them off. I don't see Tulane or USF having enough to knock off Houston or Temple.

Cool! Well if they make it to Saturday there is a sports bar down across the street from the arena. I think it's called Harry Buffalos (on Church St)...just a short walk maybe a block or two to arena
