Just talk about his D. It will relieve the pressure on your brain...lol
He slides his feet and has a good stance but doesn't actually ever make any plays on D.
At this point I have seen more from Moore and Scott. I haven't been privy to practice so I don't know for sure. What I do know for sure is that we will not use our 5th big in games that matter. If he's not noticeably better...we are wasting a year imo.
I would like to see more steals etc. If not... let's get JJ and Cumberland out there.

Nice 2nd half. Everyone played well except KJ and Quadri. I just don't think Moore is ever going to get it. Gary couldn't throw it in the ocean, but he does so many other things well that he's still a big contributor.
JJ & Cumberland can really contribute off the bench. Washington is really good. Love his energy. Evans is special. 19 points on overall an off night shooting from the floor.
Defense was solid tonight as well - especially once we stopped fouling.
So far, so good. Can't wait for Saturday!

In close games we will use our 4th big about 5 minutes...if that.
Second half was awesome! Washington was great! Jenifer played very well. Cumberland scored some points. Evans is the man.
Caupain scores the most when nobody else is. First half he played well.

Washington and Gary need to play 55 minutes every game. Tre Scott has shown ability and will be a strong asset down the road. I believe in Brooks packing on weight and growing to a Deberry like contributor. I'm sorry but calm me off the Quadri ledge, I just don't understand...

One of the things I like to check outside of points and rebounding is positive vs negative plays. Steals, turnovers, assists, blocks. Here is what we got...
Evans. 7-1
Caupain. 10-0
Jenifer. 8-1
Clark. 4-1
Washington. 0-0
KJ. 2-3
Quadri. 0-4
The rest were not extraordinary. 1 here 1 there.

I don't get why Kevin Johnson doesn't have to earn his minutes with his play. That's great that he loves UC or whatever, but I'm sure Tobler does too...don't see him starting.
He does earn minutes by being best on ball defender. Outside of that he doesn't do much... including steals or blocks.
I'm ready for JJ and Cumberland!!

I was nervous the first half, but I'm glad they pulled it out and our offense still looked solid. Evans is a freak. Jenifer and Cumberland are going to be huge for us this season if Johnson keeps playing like that. Hopefully it's just the fact that he was still weak from being sick.
Jenifer with a solid performance. 6 pts, 5 ast, 3 stl and only 1 TO in 19 minutes. I'll take that off the bench! Tied Caupain's assist total in 13 fewer minutes...

Seriously. I hate Cincinnati Sports fan. Were ranked and yet no one shows up to this game.
We wonder why our teams come out flat, they look up and see thousands of empty seats and a silent ass arena.
Xavier doesn't have this problem. UC basketball needs fans in seats. if you can afford it (and its the price of a burger) I dont see why you aren't at these games.

I would like to see his deflection stats because outside of that...he's just staying in front of his man most of the time.
