Was also thinking, it might be time to move the three point line back. Shot is getting too easy for college players.

Before they moved it back the d-1 average was 35.1%. Right now it's 34.4%. The 35.1% was the highest average on kenpom (starting with stats in 2002), from 2002-2005 the average was bettwen 34.4% and 34.7%.

Safe to say they've adjusted just fine, and if it was originally moved back because it was too easy to make, the stats suggest it's almost as easy now as it was then.

with many screaming about the lack of offense in college game and the fact they just changed the rules to enhance scoring I doubt they entertain a change that could make it harder to score.

Sooners played 9 people in a tripe overtime loss to Kansas. Out of the 9 one played 3 minutes, another 6.
Kansas played 11 players with one playing 9 minutes ,one 6,another 5 and another 3.

That looks like two 7 man rotations for the two top ranked teams in the country. Many played over 50 minutes. Both teams scored over a 100 points.

The point being our issues may be execution not fatigue.

Talent and better conditioning. Kansas 1-8 possibly could be 1st rd picks.

our guys are conditioned fine. Didn't use see all the pictures from all the hard work we put in during off season. Now if you want to say they are more talented . I'll go along with you.

Ellis Clark deberry and troy have looked gassed in multiple games this year. Every team and players say they lifting weights. Troy is youngest and strongest player on team, that is a major problem. Name ONE time this year that weight room strength was displayed! I said it in summer saying it now I would've like it they put 85% of weight room time into individual training. I'll take troy improving lateral quickness or Ellis working on footwork over lifting weights

Yeah, no doubt. When you have that kind of talent, you can play 50 minutes and still have more game, despite the fatigue, than many of our guys starting fresh. Watching that game last night was like watching something foreign. I can understand Kansas, because they are always like that. But, there is absolutely no reason why a program like Oklahoma should be better than us. If you can create a team like that at Oklahoma, then it's possible at Cincinnati. Not only possible, but it should be more probable. Just to check, I searched on the "Greatest Basketball Programs of All Time" and found the site below which "statistically" did an analysis and made an all-time ranking determination. Surprisingly, Oklahoma did come in at 27th. Where are we....#9 all-time. It's about time that our performance begin to approach our historical standards again.

Did you watch the game? You don't think those guys were fatigued? On Hield's last shot he just had to fling it up there. Ellis and Mason both had airballs on final shot situations in OT. KU missed FT. Mason couldn't even get back on defense on a possession bc he had a calf cramp. They made plenty of mistakes from fatigue. But they all had to go 3OT so everyone was tired. In a regular 40 minute game, the guy who is most likely to get tired is a big PG who doesn't get a single break for an entire half. Execution slips when you're tired.

You completely glossed over the fact they use a short rotation even in a 3 OT game. Both teams. Not saying getting guys a break is not beneficial. TC is averaging 30 minutes a game that is not excessive. You want to mandate he get so much every game. That is up to the coach and what he feels is right at the time. I'm not going to second guess Mick in how he subs. It's pointless. As I've said many times he is in the best position to make the right decision. if you enjoy doing that have at it. As I said lets have a separate thread so we don't continually get off topic.

Feel free to start any thread you want.

I'm not sure talking about the Oklahoma v KU game and how they handle their playing time is derailing this thread though.
