Wow! ECU got Florida while we get a boring Virginia Tech team....so what exactly did we gain for winning this conference???

Pretty disappointing we didn't get the Miami bowl. We got the worst bowl out of the AAC champions. Its ironic all week the only request UC wanted was a warm bowl game and we get Maryland...lol Just more incentive to get out of this conference.

Judging by the wording of that, you don't even consider Papa John's a bowl game. I don't blame you for that one bit.

Also, why would we get Miami? We're Cincinnati. We don't get nice things no matter how hard we try.

Isn't that the truth.

So anyway, I Google Mapsed the Memorial Stadium. Sheesh, it looks like it's plopped right in the middle of residential zoning. At least Belk bowl was in Charlotte, which really was a nice city and I wouldn't mind one bit going back to that bowl. This looks like it's going to be harder to make a complete "trip" out of since it looks like you'd get there, stay the night, watch the game then turn around and go home. I've never been to that part of Maryland, so hopefully someone can prove me wrong!

Perhaps you note it's location in comparison to the locations of Baltimore and Washington D.C. Pretty sure you could make a few days out of traveling to that area of the country if you wished.

That's all well and good, but the only way I go is if they do the same deal they did with the Belk Bowl last year which was "get on the bus, get there, sleep, watch game, go home" kind of deal, but we managed to squeeze a lot of local flare into those off hours, heh.

Either way, beat VT

Yep because no fans show up to games unless the opponent is attractive or the weather is nice. The embarrassing showing on Saturday does not bode well for the future...
You're so negative with our football, geesh. You don't go to the games so you're part of the problem. But if we were in the BiG 12 people would show up to our games bc our opponents are attractive.

You should see him with basketball. Double geesh. Don't even get him started on a Big 12 invite. Triple geesh!!! :D

4 new bowl games might be added in Orlando, Tucson, Little Rock, and Austin...AAC would be slotted in all but the Tucson one.

@McMurphyESPN
If new bowls approved, AAC will have 9 bowls for 12 teams, highest % of bowls for any conference

It's going to take some serious improvement from the bottom-feeders in the AAC to even qualify for 8 out of those 9 bowls. It would be great exposure for us if we can regularly fill 8-9 bowls. Conference USA had 2 bowl-eligible teams sitting at home this year. We will never have that problem again.

You are the only one I know who would rather be in Ohio in the dead of winter for a game.

Get me a plane ticket for this thing, stat.
