Thoughts from today and thru the first 3 games.....
Cobb filled it up tonight, I have a feeling he's going to lead our team in scoring his fair share this season.
Troy in the early foul trouble but he came in the start the 2nd and lead our team on the deciding early run. I believe he had 4 points, 5 assists and 5 rebounds in the first 6 minutes of the half.
Shaq is still Shaq, I think it's fair to say he is who he is at this point in his career. He can still be dangerous in spots but his shot is brutal.
Ellis will get his but it won't always be pretty, tonight it wasn't. He needs to be more willing to dish the ball back out to his perimeter guys when he doesn't have a look at the hoop. He forces shots way to often.
Gary is the silent assassin, I think we'll see his game step up against the better competition.
KJ's game has been better so far this year. Much fewer out of control moments from him and his TO's appear to be down. I like his confidence but he needs to not force shots when he doesn't have them.
Jenifer looked okay tonight, hit a couple nice shots. Love his energy but he needs to do a better job of matching his pace to the team.
Evans is solid, should lead all freshman in minutes this season.
DeBerry is running the court better, needs to continue to develop his post moves. His hands aren't great, don't think that can be taught.
Quadri looks a little better this year, still shooting 3's which is insane. I'd imagine once conference play starts you won't see him play much if we're healthy.
