Bracketology 02/26/10

JK- I love bracketology and I think its clear UC still isnt far off from making the NCAA tournament. WV game is huge- we win that I think we are looking good. (I dont see us winning one of the last two but think we may only need one BE tournament win)
 
We win 2 out of the next 3 we are in. As a UC fan i've seen stranger things happen in March. I know it sounds crazy but we control our own destiny.
 
That....the Mcnamara travel/buzzer beater...K-mart breaking his ankle, patterson partially blocking a shot that banks in for the win....I dont reallly want to go on.

Who needs a drink?? haha

Little early for a drink ouBearcat. That might be the sign of a problem.

How about the cats just get a win in March first, under Mick. Beating WVU would almost be deja vu from last year. In 09' WVU came into the Shoe and got beat. Giving lots of excitement and hope to bearcat nation. Only to be let down in March.

I would like to see the Cats beat Nova at home on March 2nd. To me that is a lot bigger game than WVU. Perhaps getting that first W in March would propel us past Gtown 4 days later. Then all the confidence would carry us a couple games into the Big East Tourny.

I "assumed" you were in the tri-state area because your user name is "ohioubearcat."

Clearly, you went to/attend Ohio University in Athens. For the record, that is not a destination school. Kids don't grow up on the west coast with thoughts of attending Ohio University, which is stuck in the middle of BFE. OU is largely comprised of Ohio residents, as most state run schools tend to be.

Secondly, you identify yourself as a "Bearcat." Not many people outside of the Southwestern Ohio/Northern Kentucky region would identify themselves as a Cincinnati Bearcat fan. We are not a national brand. We are not even the main brand within our own state. We are the brand for a region of Ohio, predominantly the Southwestern part of the state.

Are these assessments correct?

I'm kind of surprised we are only the third team out. I would have guessed worse after the disappointing loss to Marquette.
 
Yeah I think a lot of people are a little surprised but we have some good wins. A good SOS. Plus a lot of the other "bubble" teams are struggling right now too.

Find a way to beat WVU and then sell out the shoe for Nova.

Definitely. I'm trying not to think like this though because it only has led to disappointment in Big East play this year.

The tournament is obviously not out of the question at this point though.

Not sure why that's a stupid post....If you had to pick a snapshot of UC's history in the big dance, I would think that is probably most appropriate stat. While we didn't have too many opportunities for an upset bc our seed was so high, I still think it speaks volumes of our performance in the tourney.

As for BA1....a person who thinks he is oh so wise once told me to not assume. Maybe i'm an OU grad that grew up in cincy and am working the undergrounds of china. Mass producing UC gear in sweat shops and sell it for $$$$$$ in the states. I mean just saying.

I have a "hunch" that you live well within the tri-state area.

A large fat man just walked into my office and thinks he knows someone by the name of "ouBearcat." This large fat man is about 6'5" 350lbs and has the personality of a comedian.
