Could you elaborate? Is that positive wow, a negative wow, a surprised wow? :D

I think it's slightly generous, but only slightly. There are questions about depth. The quality of the returning starters cannot be questioned. But I have questions about backup PG (which is maybe even more of a question about Cash's overall health level and his ability to stay healthy) and the depth on the front line. Other than that I'm very excited about the prospects of this team. Call me crazy but if some things fall UC's way I think we could be looking at the first Bearcats team to be ranked in the top 10 in a long time.

Cronin's teams have yet to perform well when they are the "favorites" or receive accolades. I think this team has top 20 talent, but it wouldn't surprise me if they underperform significantly

Just like you have to learn how to win, you also have to learn how to perform when expectations are at their highest. This year's team beat every team they were supposed to on their schedule this year. Your statement is misguided. To take the next step, they need to learn how to beat the teams ahead of them consistently. There is not a doubt in my mind that they will.

What is misguided? Mick himself admitted that the players were overconfident/unprepared in both the WVU and UCONN games. Those two were coming after some of the higher points of the season. I also don't think we need to revisit what happened after Maui last year. I simply made a statement based on facts and was yet again criticized.

The "criticism" comes from the fact that you take a negative tact to everything. That said, there is no test like the test of success. You are right they have failed in that at times.

As Jason said though, last year overall they were actually very successful in those situations. Not surprisingly, that was also a team that had significant experience.
